Riebau-Schmithals Puts "Alakazam" Into Tank

"Alakazam" opened the action with a raise to 50,000 under the gun. Fabian Riebau-Schmithals was seated next to him and three-bet to 180,000, which "Alakazam" called.

Riebau-Schmithals continued for 125,000 and saw his opponent check-call. "Alakazam" checked the 9♣ turn as well before being put all-in for 475,000 by Riebau-Schmithals.

"Alakazam" spent three time banks thinking this over but ultimately found the fold. He was allowed to see three of Riebau-Schmithals cards, and he turned over AxKx7x for two pair.

Elie Nakache moved in for his final 300,000 or so chips, around the size of the pot, on a turn of 4♠2♥7♣9♠. Hossein Ensan looked him up and the cards were flipped face-up.

Ensan had two pair and dominated Nakache's flush draw, leaving him with few outs. The 6♣ river was not one of them, leaving Nakache to say his goodbyes and exiting the tournament area.

Ensan, meanwhile, ended up iwth more than ten times the stack he had bought in with not too long ago.

In a pot of 260,000, Gergo Nagy checked out of the big blind to Christos Argyriadis in middle position. Argyriadis made a bet of 100,000, after which Nagy effectively put him all-in for 690,000.

Argyriadis' chips quickly flew in and the cards hit their backs.
