With 4,400 chips in the pot on a board of 5♦K♦10♣2♠, Ilia Kostenko had bet around 2,500 and Jack Sinclair raised to 6,500. Kostenko then moved all in for around 30,000 more, which sent Sinclair into the tank. Around 90 seconds passed before Sinclair elected to fold, and Kostenko was pushed the pot.

Jack Sinclair is back for more in the Main Event and got stuck in right away with a cutoff open to 800. Zaza Gachechiladze called on the button and Badri Liluashvili also called from the big blind.
A flop of 8♦8♣4♣ saw the action check to Gachechiladze, who fired a small continuation-bet 500. Both Liluashvili and Sinclair got out of the way.

Cards are in the air for Day 1b of the EAPT Main Event with 52 players already in their seats.
After an impressive turnout of 214 entries on Day 1a, the EA Poker Tour (EAPT) Main Event continues today with Day 1b. Yesterday's opening flight saw Russian player Aleksandr Biriukov storm through the field to finish on top of the pack and was the only player to break the one-million chip barrier.
The $140,000 guarantee looks likely to be surpassed today which shows the outstanding support of the tour despite this being the first time EAPT has landed in Georgia — which is being hosted at the Eclipse Poker Club in Batumi.
| Place | Player | Country | Chip Count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Aleksandr Biriukov | Russia | 1,168,000 |
| 2 | Rinat Ismagilov | Russia | 633,000 |
| 3 | Ruben Hovsepyan | Armenia | 562,000 |
| 4 | Kakhaber Sabauri | Georgia | 432,000 |
| 5 | Aleksandr Martov | Russia | 431,000 |
| 6 | Akaki Magradze | Georgia | 418,000 |
| 7 | Giga Kelaptrishvili | Georgia | 404,000 |
| 8 | Dmitrii Kan | Turkey | 380,000 |
| 9 | Valeriy Gasparyan | Russia | 324,000 |
| 10 | Armenak Abgaryan | Armenia | 305,000 |
Players will start with 40,000 chips with blinds kicking off at 100/300 with no ante and the clock set at 35 minutes. From Level 2, there will be a big blind ante and 10-minute breaks every two hours. Registration will end at the start of Level 12 and players will only bag once they reach the money — approximately 15% of the field.
If players fail to make it through today's flight, there are still two more opportunities to run up a stack as Day 1c + d will play out on Saturday, September 14.
Be sure to keep your eyes glued to PokerNews for all of the latest updates from the EAPT Main Event.
