Strobel Doubles Through Petakovic

Level 24 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

With two players seeing a board reading A27810 and about 6,000,000 in the middle, Milos Petakovic checked from early position and Adrian Strobel, who had left only one T-100,000 chip behind after committing the rest of his stack, checked behind. Petakovic tabled 99 for a pair of nines while Strobel showed down AK for a top pair which was good at showdown.

Petakovic joked that he would have folded if Strobel moved all in with his last chip as the latter player scooped the pot.

Novoselov Picks the Wrong Time to Hero Call

Level 23 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Vlado Banicevic opened to 400,000 from under the gun and Roman Novoselov defended from the big blind.

The flop came J104 and Novoselov check-called a 400,000 continuation bet from Banicevic.

Novoselov lead out with a bet of 700,000 on the J turn that was called by Banicevic.

On the 9 river Novoselov downbet to 600,000. Banicevic shoved for exactly 3,000,000 and Novoselov made the call.

Novoselov tabled 108 for two pair but Banicevic had a bigger two pair with QQ to take down a full double up through the chip leader.

Gabriel Akiki: AK All in
Cutoff: A7

Akiki was in great shape with the bigger ace and remained ahead on the 452J2 to secure a full double up and extend his tournament life.
