Welcome to live coverage of Day 1a and Day 1b of the £560 Eurasian Poker Tour UK Main Event, held at the legendary Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club in Nottingham, England.
The EAPT has been growing strong for the past 11 years and for the first time in its history, it is visiting British soil with a massive guarantee of £500,000.
Past notable champions of this prestigious brand include Boris Kolev, Artur Martirosian, and the first-ever EAPT champion Marvin Rettenmaier.
Cards will be in the air at midday local time for Day 1a and a 5 p.m. start for Day 1b. Each player will start with 200,000 chips, with blinds beginning with 1,000 small blind, 1,000 big blind, and 1,000 big blind ante. Day 1a’s blinds will increase every 40 minutes, while Day 1b’s blinds will increase every 30 minutes.
Players may re-enter once on both flights until the start of level seven. The play will continue until 20 percent of the field remains who will bag up and return for Day 2 on May 26 at 3 p.m. local time.
If players don’t advance today, there is still ample opportunity to qualify for Day 2. On May 25 there will be a further two flights with Day 1c and Day 1d, while on May 26 there is a turbo option of Day 1e which starts at 10 a.m. local time with 15-minute levels.

So Far 26 players have registered for Day 1a, but late registration is available until the start of level seven.
A 30-second shot clock is in play and each player has received four time-bank cards.

With 10,500 in the middle, five players saw a flop of 7♠4♠2♣ which resulted in five checks.
The A♦ landed on the turn and Andrew Tuxworth bet 6,500 from under-the-gun. George Demetriou raised to 17,000 which got a fold from the button and the blinds.
Tuxworth thought about it before tossing his cards into the muck and Demetriou revealed 5♦3♦ for the turned wheel.

Stephen Forrester bet 3,000 from the button and was called by Rakesh Attuluri in the small blind and Grigor Yonchev in the big blind.
Forrester continued for 4,000 on the K♥Q♣10♠ flop which got prompt folds from both blinds.

With the turn board reading 6♣4♣3♠J♠, Simon Davidson bet 26,000 from the small blind and was called by Costel Burcea in the cutoff.
The 9♠ completed the backdoor flush on the river and Davidson ramped it up to 40,000. Burcea took twenty seconds before making the call. Davidson tabled 10♠10♥, which could not better Burcea's Q♦J♣ for top pair and a hefty pot.
