Ace-Nine Like a Boss for Hazard

Level 5 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With 88,000 in the middle on a flop of KK3, Jorge Palomino bet 18,000 from the small blind and was called by under the gun Conan Hazard and Will Kassouf on the button.

The Q came on the turn and Palomino checked which opened the door to Hazard to bet 37,000. Kassouf made the call and Palomino folded.

Hazard continued the aggression on the J river by moving all in for 128,000. Kassouf went into the tank and used a time bank card, using his usual verbiage to try and glean any information from a calm Hazard. With five seconds left on the clock Kassouf chose to fold and Hazard tabled A9 for a successful bluff.

Kassouf Takes Out Nadeem

Level 4 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

With 60,000 in the middle, five players saw a flop of 853 and Will Kassouf bet 38,000 from the cutoff. This was the exact amount of chips that Majid Nadeem had in his stack on the button and moved all in. Conan Hazard in the small blind also made the call and the two others folded.

Both players checked to showdown after the runout of QQ. Kassouf tabled A5 for two pair, top kicker which was enough to send Nadeem to the rail with 65, while Hazard mucked his hand.

Boris Kolev

The $2,200 EAPT Grand Final took just under thirteen hours for a winner to emerge from 16 hopefuls who made it to the final day. Boris Kolev may have entered the final table as the shortest stack with just six big blinds, but he held all of the chips after the final hand had been dealt.

Kolev last defeated Brazilian business owner Ueberton Cristian De Aquino in heads-up play, taking home the top prize of $437,000 after a heads-up deal. This Grand Final win marked his second-largest career tournament cash after his first WSOP bracelet win in 2021, and brought the Bulgarian pro's career tournament winnings to just over $3,700,000.

Sapiano Doing Sapiano Things

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

All the chips went into the middle preflop three ways with Paul Harrison at risk for 183,000 and unbelievably Albert Sapiano for 67,500, who has had more ups and downs than a corkscrew rollercoaster. They were both covered by Daniel Elder.

Albert Sapiano: KQ All in
Paul Harrison: AK All in
Daniel Elder: AK

The case king on the K75 gave all three players top pair, but the Q7 completed the runout to give Sapiano kings and queens and secure a triple up.
