Ruosso Doubles Through Robl

We picked up the action in a three-way pot on a flop that read {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{k-Hearts}. Andrew Robl and Adam Levy checked from the blinds to Vanessa Rousso on the button. She bet 600 and was check-raised by Robl to 2,000. Rousso moved all in for 10,600 and Robl beat her into the pot.

Rousso: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Robl: {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Rousso hit her flush on the turn and Robl was unable to fill up. The dealer counted down the chips from Robl's stack and slid them over to Rousso who now has new life in this tournament.

Reynolds Loses Big Flip to Baron and Busts

Isaac Baron
Isaac Baron

We only laid eyes on William Reynolds for a few moments before we watched him depart fro the tournament. It was Isaac Baron who eliminated him to take a big pot early and move into what looks to be the chip lead. Here's how it went down.

When we arrived at the table, Reynolds had 2,700 out in front of him with 1,300 in the pot preflop. Baron had a raise to 8,200 in front of him and action was pending on Reynolds. He tanked for a bit and then reraised to 15,500. Baron took some time before coming back over the top to 23,100. Reynolds then moved all in for 52,100 and Baron made the call after about 30 seconds, but he didn't look too thrilled about it.

Baron asked if Reynolds had ace-king and Reynolds tabled the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. Baron showed the {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and it was off to the races for these two young superstars with over 100,000 in chips on the line in the second level of play.

The flop, turn and river ran out {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Reynolds couldn't find the help he needed to stay alive. Baron picked up the elimination and the pot to move to nearly 140,000 in chips.

O'Brien Doubles Through Porter

After a raise to 1,100 from a player in middle position, Matt Hawrilenko called from the cutoff and Rep Porter called from the small blind. Dan O'Brien was in the big blind and re-raised to 5,200. The first two players got out of the way leaving only Porter to make the call.

The flop was {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Porter checked. O'Brien continued for 6,200 which was called by Porter. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and this time Porter led out for 11,500. O'Brien moved all in for 36,500 and Porter hit the tank. After a thorough self-analysis of the hand he decided to put O'Brien at risk.

Porter: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
O'Brien: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The river {6-Spades} bricked off and O'Brien shipped the pot. He has now chipped up to 100,000 while Porter is not in any immediate danger with 24,000.
