There's plenty of action going on in the media room. It's sort of the United Nations of poker media. There's a dozen languages being spoken with random players coming up to their local press and giving chip counts, hand histories, and recounting testicle-numbing bad beats.
Of course, when poker media reps are bored (especially during Day 1 when very little happens) they often fire up their favorite online poker room such as PokerStars or Full Tilt and donk off their paychecks at the tables.
One thing seems to be universal... poker lingo. You often hear a few sentences in a weird language followed by "pocket Aces" or "flop" or "suck out."
Bad beats are bad beats no matter if its Norwegian, English, or Italian.
