Daniele Mazzia Eliminated in 4th Place (€ 351,000)

Daniele Mazzia - 4th Place
Daniele Mazzia - 4th Place
The amazing comeback of Daniele Mazzia has come to an end. After being crippled on the previous hand, Mazzia's luck finally ran out. Sebastian Ruthenberg limped in on the button and Davidi Kitai completed from the small blind. Mazzia, with already 80,000 in the pot, pushed his remaining 13,000 from the big blind and was called by both men.

Ruthenberg and Kitai checked down to the river and when it was all said and done the board read {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {8-Spades}.

It looked as though Mazzia may have tripled up when he turned up {Q-?} {8-?} for two pair, but Ruthenberg calmly rolled over {J-?} {9-?} for the winning straight.

Mazzia smiled and made his way towards the payout area where he'll collect € 351,000 for his outstanding performance this week.

Mazzia Crippled

Out of the blue, we have an all-in, Davidi Kitai calling an all-in from Daniele Mazzia with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Mazzia tabled {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

Board = {6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

No miracle outdraw on this occasion and the Italian is crippled with about one big blind left. Will this be one comeback too many?

Davidi Kitai 1,265,000
Daniele Mazzia 1,104,000
Sebastian Ruthenberg 796,000

Dren Ukella Eliminated in 5th Place (€ 292,000)

Dren Ukella - 5th Place
Dren Ukella - 5th Place
Fintan Gavin raised to 130,000 and got a single caller in Dren Ukella. The flop came {10-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {2-Hearts}. Ukella checked over to Gavin and he led out for 200,000. Ukella paused briefly, then moved all in forcing Gavin to a major decision.

Gavin thought for about a minute or so before making the call. The players showed:

Gavin: {Q-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}
Ukella: {A-Hearts} {4-Hearts}

Gavin was in front with his middle pair, but Ukella has a flush draw and an overcard. He'd need them if he were to stay in the tournament. The turn brought the {7-Clubs} which was no help to either man. Ukella's supporters were on their feet as the dealer put the {10-Diamonds} on the river. His ace high was not good enough and he exited in 5h place. Along with a great story, Ukella will take home € 292,000.

Fintan Gavin continues his final table domination is now sitting just shy of 3 million chips.
