Climbing the Mattern-Horn

Arnaud Mattern has surely broken the 30,000 mark now, taking a chunky pot out of the hands of the player now occupying Iversen's old seat. A player limped in early position only for Mattern to raise to 400. The gent in Iversen's seat called, as did the early position limper.

The limper checked the {2-Spades}

flop and Mattern bet 850. The gent in Iversen's seat raised to 2,000, the limper folded, and Mattern instantly made a huge re-raise, forcing the not-Iversen player to fold.
