Six Hands in the Life of Dario Minieri

Dario Minieri is turning up the aggression now that he's doubled up and play has turned short-handed. The pint-sized Italian has played five of the last six pots-- here's a taste:

1. Minieri raised to 27,000 and got no action. He showed {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}

2. Minieri folded preflop.

3. Arnaud Mattern made it 28,000 to go. Minieri popped him to 122,000 and Mattern folded.

4. Minieri opened for 27,000 and Arnaud Mattern called. Both players checked the {A-Clubs} {10-Spades} {6-Clubs} flop. When the {10-Diamonds} fell on the turn Mattern checked, Minieri fired 29,000 and Mattern folded.

5. Minieri raised to 27,000, no takers.

6. Joao Barbosa raised to 33,000 from the small blind and Minieri called from the big blind. The flop was {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} . Barbosa bet 39,000 and Minieri called. Checks from both on the {7-Hearts} turn and the {5-Diamonds} river. Barbosa showed {4-Clubs} {4-Hearts} and Minieri mucked.

"I had pocket deuces!" he told Barbosa with a laugh.
