2008 PokerStars.net EPT Polish Open - Day 1b

Just 72 of the 191 players who started the day survived yesterday's Day 1a flight and today, the other half of the tournament field will take to the felt in hopes of advancing to Thursday's Day 2. Among those expected to play this afternoon are team PokerStars pros Greg Raymer and Luca Pagano, along with the likes of Sorel Mizzi, Mark Teltscher and Mel Judah.

Start of play looks like it is going to be delayed for the same reasons as yesterday. Registration is still taking place. Hopefully it will be less than 10 minutes before it starts.

So far we've spotted Dave Colclough, Andy Black, Greg Raymer, William Thorson, Daan Ruiter, Thomas Wahlroos, Luca Pagano, Arnaud Mattern, Rolf Slotboom, Pascal Perrault, Liz Liu, Nicky Roeg, Thor Hansen, Liz Lieu and Mel Judah.

Andy Black's New Clothes...

Sporting a new Eminem T-shirt, Andy Black is looking sharp and not too concerned to have Dave Colclough on his left. He has already worked out that the Polish for two hundred sounds like fifty in English and has made sure that we are all aware of that.

Early Chip Movement

Amongst the early chip gatherers are Thomas Wahlroos who is up to 14,000 and Nicky Roeg who qualified on T6poker with 12,000.

Andy Black is down to 7,500 as is Eric Vanderburg.

Liz Lieu Takes One Down

Liz Lieu had lost a few chips early on but got some back when she called a 300 chip bet on a {4-Diamonds}

flop along with a few other players. The turn was the {Q-Hearts}

and Liz bet out 1,100 first to speak and both her opponents folded. This pot brought her back up to 8,000, still below starting but not in any real danger yet.
