Aguiar Slips Slightly

Jonathan "FatalError" Aguiar raised to 750 from middle position. An opponent in the cutoff seat reraised to 2,200. Aguiar made the call when action got back to him.

The flop came down {K-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {4-Clubs} and Aguiar checked. His opponent bet 3,200 of the 22,000 he had left in his stack. Aguiar folded and the player collected the pot, causing Aguiar to slip to 77,000.

You Win Some, You Lose Some for Galic

Oh well
Oh well
A minor setback for Dragan Galic as he called a 4,000 bet from his young opponent on a board boasting three hearts, one of them the ace, only to muck with a laugh when the youngster flipped {K-Hearts} {7-Hearts} for the flush.

You shouldn't feel too sorry for him, though -- he's still on a commanding 55,000.

Isaia Chops With Opponent

The board contained two pair on the turn, {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}. The first player to act checked to Alessio Isaia. The player was in the cutoff seat with Isaia on the button. Isaia bet 2,050. His opponent then put in a check-raise to 6,000. Isaia made the call.

The river brought the {J-Clubs} and the first player bet 10,000. Isaia then moved all in and his opponent snap-called. It wasn't as eventful as it sounded though, as both players tabled an ace to chop up the pot.

With chopping the pot, Isaia was able to stay right at 51,000 chips.

About EPT Barcelona

Our very own Melissa Castello has a few things you might want to know about the EPT Barcelona. A brief breakdown of the event and a few tips are included in the video segment below. Melissa even shows off her math skills for all of those wondering how much €8,300 really is. But enough blabber about what's in the video, just watch it.

Mercier Eliminated

Mercier No More...
Mercier No More...
Jason Mercier has been knocked out. He had rebuilt his stack before pushing all-in over a 4,000 bet on a {A-Spades} {10-Spades} {4-Diamonds} board. The button pushed behind and the third player folded his {A-?} {6-?} face up.

Mercier flipped {A-Hearts} {10-Clubs} and asked, "Fours?" His opponent nodded and showed {4-Hearts} {4-Spades} which stayed ahead on the {6-Hearts} turn and {8-Clubs} river.

Walthaus Takes the Lead

Jorn in da 'Haus

A player raised to 900 in early position and received a call in mid position. Over to Walthaus in the small blind who made it 3,150. Both players called, and they saw a flop.

Flop: {5-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {5-Hearts}

Walthaus checked to the original raiser, who now bet 6,000. The caller got out of the way, but Walthaus called and they saw a turn.

Turn: {5-Clubs}

Our original raiser now bet out a very serious 15,000 -- but Walthaus raised very nearly all in, sticking his 42,000's worth of high denomination 5,000 and 1,000 chips in the middle.

His opponent seemed to give it some thought, but passed. Walthaus is now up to 83,000 and appears to be our chip leader.
