PokerStars.com EPT Barcelona Day 2

Welcome back to Day 2 of EPT Barcelona! Today we'll be playing just six levels, but all will be 75 minutes long from now on.

There is no dinner break today either, so compared to the Day 1's, we will be finishing much earlier.

Diego Arias Rodriguez is the current chip leader with 193,300 just pippping Monte Carlo runner-up Matt Woodward who'll be sitting down with 190,900.

Play is scheduled to begin shortly.

Level: 10

Blinds: 600/1,200

Ante: 100

Some Interesting Tables

Tables are eight-handed today rather than the nine-handed ones we had on Day 1, so the concentration of aggression is higher. Check out these happy neighbours...

- Tony Cascarino, Noah Schwartz, Joe Serock and Peter Hedlund

- Roland de Wolfe and Thierry van den Berg

- One for the Dutchies: Jorn Walthaus and Joep van den Bijgaart

- Sandra Naujoks, Surinder Sunar, Malte Strothmann, Benny Spindler and Leo Margets. Yikes.

- Freddy Deeb and David Williams

Kastle Crumbling

One gent not having a nice morning is Casey Kastle.

Coming back today with just 17,200, he raised to 4,000 in late position first hand, only to find the gentleman in the small blind reraising to 13,000. After a long, painful-looking dwell, Kastle opted to give it up, and is left teetering on a mere 13,000.

Cart Me the Monies

Wow, here's a crazy hand.

Carter Phillips opened, and was met with a reraise from further down the table. He four-bet to 17,000, and his opponent flatted. Interesting.

Flop: {10-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {A-Diamonds}

Phillips checked and his opponent stuck in a 22,000 bet -- at which point Phillips shoved for 65,000 or so. A long dwell ensued, and eventually his opponent folded. Phillips showed him {8-Spades} {9-Diamonds} for an up-and-down straight draw, and the opponent stood up and stalked off. "Wow, I put you on aces," said a tablemate. "Next time I'll have aces," said Phillips.

Woodward Wakes Up

Matt Woodward has finally arrived to claim his enormous stack.

"I thought you were going to blind into Day 3," commented EPT announcer Neil Johnson.

"Thought about it," replied the only slightly flustered Woodward.

Deeb Takes A Hit

Freddy Deeb raised to 4,200 only for the gentleman to his left to move in for around 40,000 total back. The action was passed back to Deeb who said, "I raise to 4,000 and he pushes for 40,000..."

He thought for a moment before saying, "I have to call you..." flipping {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}. Deeb's opponent turned over {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}, the latter celebrating after the river of a {2-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {8-Spades} {6-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} board.
