Goodwin Becomes a Triple Millionaire

Marc Goodwin raised to 60,000 and Georgios Kapalas called behind. Matt Lapossie in the small blind came along for the ride too, and they saw a flop.

Flop: {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {4-Clubs}

Lapossie bet out 78,000, and Goodwin quickly called. Kapalas gave it up, and they saw a turn.

Turn: {10-Diamonds}

Lapossie now bet out 127,000 and again, Goodwin called.

River: {9-Clubs}

With the fourth club on the board, both players checked. Lapossie turned over {J-?} {10-?} with no clubs, and Goodwin's set of fours was good to take the pot, putting the Englishman over the three million chip mark.

Kapalas Calls Clock on Smith

Asa Smith made it 62,000 and Georgios Kapalas in the big blind was the sole caller; they saw a {3-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {9-Spades} flop which they both checked.

Come the {7-Clubs} turn Kapalas bet out 80,000 and Smith called relatively swiftly; onwards.

They saw a dangerous-looking {8-Spades} river and now Kapalas bet out a hefty 185,000. After less than two minutes, Kapalas rather ungenerously called the clock on the indecisive Smith. It came down to the last couple of seconds before Smith laid it down.

Nuijten and Phillips Spar

Carter Phillips raises to 55,000 from UTG, Julien Nuijent made the call from the small blind.

The flop is {K-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {7-Spades}, Nuijent checked to Phillips who bet 60,000 and Nuijent called.

Both players checked the {2-Diamonds} turn and Nuijent fired out 150,000 on the {7-Hearts} river. Phillips called and Nuijent flipped {J-Clubs} {J-Spades} but Phillips showed {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts} to take it down.

A couple of hands later and Phillips raised again to 55,000, this time Nuijent made it 135,000 and Phillips quickly folded.

Aces for Asa

The very next hand after Georgios Kapalas called the clock on Asa Smith, Smith raised again, to 65,000. Kapalas put in a reraise to 158,000, and Smith shipped his whole stack across the line, a total of 484,000. A call from Kapalas, with surprising speed.

Kapalas: {6-Spades} {6-Diamonds}
Smith: {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}

Board: {K-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}

A full double up for Smith to around a million through the shell-shocked Kapalas.

Nuijten Turning Up the Aggression

There's not too much action going on at the outer table, but Julien Nuijten has been picking up the blinds and antes every hand it seems. He's opening with a very high frequency and no one seems to be fighting back. Every chip counts and Nuijten has increased to 1.6 million.
