Must Be Niemi to Be You

Kalle Niemi made a desperate push from the cutoff, and David Eldar sensed his fear and called in the big blind.

Niemi: a rather lackluster {3-Spades} {5-Diamonds}
Eldar: {Q-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}

Flop: {7-Clubs} {K-Spades} {6-Clubs}

Turn: {10-Spades}

"He needs a four," commented ever-vigilant PokerNews blogger F-Train; we are, after all, professionals here.

River: {4-Spades}

Double up.

Argento is a Ladies Man

Pierre Neuville similarly tried it on for 46,000 from the cutoff, but a big push for 342,000 from small blind Giuseppe Argento put him in his place, and he passed. Argento showed him pocket queens.

Galic Doesn't Hold onto Chips for Long

It was a brief stay above one million chips for Dragan Galic. He opted to take another race, this time against Katalin Jerney. Jerney showed down {A-Hearts} {10-Clubs} against Dragan's {2-Spades} {2-Clubs}. Jerney stood up from the table to await the flop, but Galic put a calming hand on her arm and convinced her to sit back down.

Ducks were still the best hand on a flop of {Q-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}, but Jerney turned the nuts and an unbeatable hand when the {K-Clubs} hit the board. She raised her fists slightly above her shoulder and let out a sigh of relief as her 310,000-chip stack doubled up.

Luigi Abiusi Eliminated in 24th Place (€26,300)

It took only one pot for Dragan Galic to regain the smile he's worn on his face for the first three days of the tournament. He opened a pot preflop with a raise to 34,000, then called when Luigi Abiusi moved all in for 233,000. It was a race, with Galic's {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} slightly behind Abiusi's {7-Diamonds} {7-Spades}. Galic hit his ace right on the flop, {A-Spades} {6-Hearts} {K-Spades}, then ducked the other two sevens with a turn {A-Clubs} and river {K-Clubs}. Abiusi is the first player eliminated at the next pay jump, taking home €26,300.
