Two Outs Are Plenty for Ruslan

Ruslan Prydryk open-raised to 12,000 from middle position, and Kalle Niemi three-bet to 35,000 a few seats over. When it came back to Prydryk, he didn't waste much time moving in for his last 91,400, and Niemi instantly called.

Prydrk was at risk with {6-Clubs} {6-Hearts}, and he was in a bad way versus Niemi and his {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades}.

The board was clean until the river, but it came {2-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {K-Spades} {6-Spades}. The two-out six ball on the river drew opposite reactions from the two men's cheering sections along the rail as it shipped a double up over to Prydryk.

Prydrk - 190,000
Niemi - 35,000

Debus Outbids Moreira

Alexander Debus
Alexander Debus
Alexander Debus raised to 11,000 on the button, and Tome Cardoso Moreira made it 27,000 from the big blind. Debus called, and the flop showed up {A-Spades} {J-Clubs} {5-Spades}. Moreira continued out with a bet of 35,000, and Debus paused before calling.

Both players checked the repeat {A-Diamonds} on the turn, and the river was the {2-Spades}. Moreira passed again, and Debus took it as his signal to bet 65,000. It would be several minutes before his opponent acted, and Moreira passed his two black nines in between his hands for a long while before releasing them into the muck.

Moreira - 170,000
Debus - 275,000

Five Clubs for Abecassis

Michel Abecassis
Michel Abecassis
Michel Abecassis open-raised to 9,700, and Anatoly Gurtovoy three-bet to 22,000 from the button. When it came back to Abecassis, he wasted no time moving all in for 82,500, and Gurtovoy called just as quickly to put the Frenchman at risk of elimination.

Showdown
Abecassis: {10-Clubs} {J-Clubs}
Gurtovoy: {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}

The flop was an interesting one as it came {3-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {3-Clubs}, giving the at-risk player a flush draw to work with. That draw would come through when the turn brought the {5-Clubs}, but it was far from over. Abecassis would still need to fade all the aces, threes, and clubs left in the deck to remain alive.

The river was safe for him; the {J-Hearts}. With just the right number of clubs, Michel Abecassis has pulled off a double up. He's back to about 170,000 now.

Carter Phillips Sent Packing

Phillips is gone
Phillips is gone
From under the gun, Carter Phillips raised to 12,000, clearly committing himself to the hand. Ruslan Prydryk moved all in behind him for his last 30,000 or so. When action got back to Phillips, he splashed the rest of his chips into the pot, having less then Prydryk.

Prydryk had the EPT Barcelona champion Phillips on the ropes with {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} to {A-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}. The board ran out {J-Spades} {10-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {5-Spades} {K-Clubs} and Phillips couldn't find any help, not even to chop the pot. He was quickly out of his seat and out the door.

Phillips Moves In Dark

Carter Phillips was down to 17,500 chips when he opened from the cutoff with a raise to 9,000 on the first hand back after break. The button, Ruslna Prydryk, made the call.

Phillips then pushed all in dark as the dealer dealt the flop {A-Hearts} {J-Spades} {6-Spades}. Prydryk had 33,500 left and sat in the tank. He was in the tank for about a minute before Phillips said, "If I get slowrolled again I'm going to be pissed." He smiled and Antony Lellouche laughed.

A minute or so later, Prydryk folded and Phillips picked up the pot.

Lellouche Cripples Prydryk

From the cutoff, Ruslan Prydryk raised to 10,000, and action folded to big blind Antony Lellouche. He elected to three-bet up to 26,000, and Prydryk put in the call.

The flop came out {6-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {3-Hearts}, and Lellouche put out a continuation bet of 23,500. After some debate, Prydryk raised to 65,000, committing well over half his stack to the pot. Without missing a beat, Lellouche announced, "All in," and Prydryk froze in his tracks.

He had around 48,000 left in his stack, and he reluctantly folded his hand to save the remainder for a better spot.
