Vitalky Lunkin Eliminated in 20th Place (28,620 PLN)

Vitaly Lunkin - 20th Place
Vitaly Lunkin - 20th Place
Oleksandr Vaserfirer raised from the cutoff to 20,500. Vitaly Lunkin was on the button and moved all in for about 100,000. Jeff Sarwer was in the small blind and reshoved all in. The big blind and Vaserfirer folded, leaving Lunkin and Sarwer heads up with Lunkin at risk.

Lunkin held {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts}. Sarwer held {K-Clubs} {J-Spades}.

The board ran out {Q-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} and Lunkin was eliminated with Sarwer spiking the jack on the river. Sarwer now has 425,000 chips.

Benzimra, Who Got the Keys To My Bimmer

Christophe Benzimra raised to 21,000 before Antony Lellouche reraised to 55,000. Benzimra then moved all in and Lellouche quickly called.

Lellouche tabled two tens, {10-Spades} {10-Clubs}, but was behind the pocket kings that Benzimra held.

The board ran out {J-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {6-Clubs}, forcing Lellouche to pass over a total of 133,500 chips to Benzimra. Lellouche was left with about 120,000 after the hand.

Michel Abecassis Eliminated in 21st Place (28,620 PLN)

Michel Abecassis - 21st Place
Michel Abecassis - 21st Place
Julian Hoffmann Mogensen raised to 20,000 from the button, and Michel Abecassis moved all in for 71,000 total. Mogensen halfway asked for a count, but he didn't wait for the answer before sticking in the call.

Showdown
Mogensen: {4-Spades} {4-Diamonds}
Abecassis: {A-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}

Abecassis couldn't outrun the small pocket pair on a board of {6-Spades} {3-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}, and he has been eliminated in 21st place.

Double Ups All Over the Place

Anatoly Gurtovov raised from middle position, and Maurice Schulmann moved his 120,000-chip stack across the betting line. Gurtovoy called with {A-Spades} {K-Spades}, and Schulmann was looking good to double up with {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds}.

The flop was a sweat, but the board was ultimately safe: {Q-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}. Schulmann is back over 250,000 now.

Abecassis Hanging On

Just one hand after doubling up Peter Hedlund, Michel Abecassis moved all in from the small blind. Ruslan Prydryk was the only man to beat, and he quickly called with the covering stack.

"I still don't know what I have," smirked Abecassis. He flipped over {5-Spades} {8-Spades}, and he wasn't too bad off against Prydryk's {K-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}.

Things would get better still. The flop brought two pair for Abecassis, and the board ended up {8-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} {K-Spades}. Needing both of those pairs to stay alive, Abecassis has indeed doubled back up to about 75,000.

Hedlund Drawing Live

Peter Hedlund open-shoved for his last 71,000 chips in early position, and he nearly got the rest of the table to fold. Last to speak, Michel Abecassis looked down at {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} and made the call.

"Oh shit!" said Hedlund before the cards were even exposed.

"It's not over," reminded Abecassis, just now turning up his hand. Hedlund tabled {K-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} and was content to see that he was drawing live.

And live he would stay. The board rolled out {9-Spades} {10-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}, and trip tens are easily good enough for Hedlund to double up. He's back over 150,000 now, while Abecassis is crippled down to just 35,000 lonely chips.

Sarwer Slips in the Biggest Pot Thus Far

Oleksandr Vaserfirer opened the pot with a raise from the button, and big blind Jeff Sarwer three-bet him strong. Vaserfirer came back with another raise, and Sarwer shoved all in over the top on a five-bet. Vaserfirer had committed a significant chunk of his stack to the hand already, and he made the call to put himself at risk and put the largest pot of the tournament up for grabs.

Showdown
Vaserfirer: {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}
Sarwer: {8-Hearts} {8-Spades}

Let's flip for rolls, shall we?

The flop was no fun for the chip leader, coming {2-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}. The turn {10-Spades} failed to help at all, and the river {7-Clubs} locked up the monster double up for Vaserfirer. His total all in was 623,000, moving him well over 1.2 million and into a big chip lead.

Sarwer, on the other hand, has taken his first hit in a long while. He's dropped all the way back to about 450,000, though that's still plenty to work with at this point.

Schulmann Hits Straight to Double

Maurice Schulmann moved all in preflop for 40,500 and was called by Vitaly Lunkin. Lunkin held {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} and Schulmann held {3-Spades} {2-Spades}.

The flop came down {J-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {4-Spades}, keeping Lunkin ahead, but adding a lot of outs to Schulmann as he picked up a straight draw.

The turn was the {6-Clubs}, completing Schulmann's open-ender and giving him the win. The river completed the board with the meaningless {7-Diamonds}.

Schulmann now has about 85,000 chips and Lunkin dropped to 150,000.
