Roberto Romanello is On a Boat

We joined a heads-up pot in progress as the flop came out {9-Spades} {2-Clubs} {7-Diamonds}. Sebastian Bauer was first to speak, and he checked. Roberto Romanello put out a bet of 600, and Bauer made the call.

The turn was the {7-Spades}, and Bauer led out into the pot with a bet of 1,000. Romanello shot a glance to his right before sticking in a raise to 2,500. After a bit of hesitation, Bauer grabbed enough chips to cover his opponent and flung them into the middle. Before they even hit the felt, Romanello said, "I call," committing his final 11,550 chips to the pot.

Showdown
Bauer: {K-Hearts} {7-Clubs}
Romanello: {7-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}

Romanello needed only to fade a king to stay alive, and the river was a safe {5-Clubs}. That spells a double up for Romanello, and it puts him right back to his starting stack of 30,000.
