Yuzikov Gets Tricky with Aces and It Pays

Aleksey Yuzikov limped in from early position before Ludovic Lacay raised to 1,400. Richard Gryko called out of the big blind and then action went back over to Yuzikov. He put in a reraise to 5,000. Lacay folded, sensing something fishy in the air, and then Gryko made the call after a few moments of thought.

The flop came down {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} and both remaining players checked. The turn was the {3-Spades} and gryko led out for 5,600. Yuzikov moved all in for 16,500 and Gryko made the call.

When the hands were revealed, Gryko was drawing dead with {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} against Yuzikov's {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades}. The river was the meaningless {2-Diamonds}, giving Yuzikov the double up and then some to about 44,000.
