Romanello Out-Agrresses De Vivo; Snatches Chip Lead

Roberto Romanello opened for 96,000 and Francesco de Vivo flatted behind. Interesting.

Flop: {6-Spades} {8-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}

Romanello bet out another 96,000, and de VIvo now raised to 250,000. Romanello immediately took back his 96,000 bet and after a moment, replaced it with the quarter-mil. call.

Turn: {A-Spades}

Romanello, his face obscured by his baseball cap, bet out another quarter-mil. De Vivo folded, showing the table pocket tens.

Romanello has now snuck into the lead.

Pair v. Pair

Roberto Romanello opened to 81,000 under the gun, and a three-bet was coming. Jesper Petersen made it 220,000 to go, sending Romanello into a bit of deep contemplation. He tried to get Petersen to chat with him, but the conversation was nothing but one-sided. After several minutes, Romanello elected to call.

The flop came out {A-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {A-Spades}, and Petersen led out with a tiny bet of 80,000. Romanello came right along with the call. The two men would check down the turn {6-Diamonds} and the river {4-Clubs} to go to showdown.

Petersen was first, showing up pocket nines for two pair. Romanello nodded slowly and flashed two eights before sending them into the muck.

Things suuure are tight here at the "final" table.

Magnus Borg Hansen Eliminated in 9th Place (215,000 DKK)

Battle of the previously very quiet players now.

Magnus Hansen opened for 91,000 and to his immediate left, Anton Wigg made it 257,000. Back to Hansen, who announced all in. Call.

The two gentlemen, coinflipping for the chip lead with just 40,000 chips separating their stacks, shook hands. Hansen was the at-risk player.

Hansen: {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}
Wigg: {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades}

Board: {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {3-Spades}

Ladies and gentlemen, we now have our official final table, and Anton Wigg is our official chip leader.

Guldhammer's Wandering Hands

Unfortunately observed during break:

Roberto Romanello was walking back up the stairs toward the tournament room, involved in a conversation with our very own Gloria Balding. Morten Guldhammer was also coming up the stairs at a bit quicker pace. He caught up to the pair ahead of him, and he... well, he grabbed one of their behinds with both hands and said, "Oh, GOD you have a nice butt!"

The behind he grabbed belonged to Mr. Romanello. Gloria seems a bit jealous.

Klein Pushes Petersen Off

First hand back, and Jesper Petersen raised to 85,000. Morten Klein in the big blind made the call.

Flop: {8-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {4-Hearts}

Klein checked and Petersen bet 115,000 in position. Klein, however, check-raised to 235,000. Petersen called and they saw a turn.

Turn: {K-Clubs}

Klein now bet out 250,000, forcing Petersen into his own private tank of despair for a while. When he emerged, he folded, and was rewarded by Klein showing him {2-Hearts} {3-Hearts} for nothing more than the worst flush draw.

Klein is now up to 2.1 million - second place in the chip counts. Not bad for a man who came into Day 5 as the official short stack.
