Secara's First Steal

Very, very short stack Claudius Secara hasn't put a chip into the pot voluntarily yet today, and the blinds and antes have been eating away at his chips. Finally, when it folded to him on the button, he put his last 420k in the middle.

Though it was only another 360,000 for big blind Michael Fratty to call, he tank folded. Secara picked up 125k in blinds and antes.

Bergeron Underestimates Caraba

Teodor Caraba and Craig Bergeron saw a {5-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {8-Spades} flop and Caraba bet out 250,000. Bergeron called.

The turn came down the {K-Clubs} and Caraba now bet out 600,000. Again, Bergeron flat-called. There were over 2 million chips in the pot by this point.

The river was a harmless-looking {2-Spades} and Caraba considered his options for a long time, before finally betting out an enormous 1.4 million. Bergeron insta-called - but then insta-mucked when Caraba turned over pocket tens for the flopped set. Bergeron had a king, by the sound of it.

Bergeron, who invested over half his stack in that hand, is down to 2.2 million. Caraba on the other hand is now pushing 10 million - nearly half the chips in play.

Peter Eastgate Eliminated in 8th Place (€70,000)

Eastgate - 8th place
Eastgate - 8th place
From the button, Peter Eastgate open shipped for the third time at the final table. Craig Bergeron, in the small blind, over shoved to isolate, and big blind Stephane Albertini quickly laid it down while the crowd got to its feet to see the showdown.

Bergeron: {K-Clubs} {9-Spades}
Eastgate: {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs} - at risk

For the second time in two preflop all ins, the flop brought an ugly three outer.

Board: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {8-Hearts}

And just like that, Team PokerStars Pro Peter Eastgate is the first player to make his exit from the final table. Craig Bergeron now has some extra chips with which to bully the table. He's up to 4.6 million.

Timex
Timex

Showdown
Albertini - {K-Hearts} {K-Spades}
McDonald - {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} - at risk

Things didn't look good for Mike McDonald. But wait!

Timex scored a timely double up to 3,270,000 and now has the chips to be extremely dangerous. Albertini dropped to 1,335,000.
