Peter Skripka has more than double the stack of the next guy. Impressive stuff.
2010 EPT Prague
Level 23 has come to a close and the players are on a 15 minute break.
Manuel Bevand raised to 52,000 in early position and to his immediate left Melanie Weisner made it 145,000 to go. In the cutoff Rob Hollink cold four-bet shoved for around 415,000. Bevand re-shoved, Weisner gave it up (leaving herself 550,000) and the two gentlemen were on their proverbial backs.
Bevand:

Hollink:

Board:

With that, we are down to zero Dutchmen, and only one former EPT winner - Kevin MacPhee. Bevand is up to 1.6 million.
It folded around to the now perilously short-stacked Richard Toth on the button, who went all in. Chip monster Peter Skripka called in the big blind, and the Hungarian Team PokerStars Pro was soon heading dejectedly for the payout desk.
Toth:

Skripka:

Board:

Sergio Rodriguez Sanchez has been eliminated in 16th place, worth €20,000, after he attempted to steal with rags but ran into a legitimate hand.
When the action folded to Sanchez in the hijack seat, he moved all in for 153,000. Once the dealer had confirmed the amount, Peter Skripka quickly called and once the blinds got out of the way, the players turned over their cards.
Skripka:

Sanchez:

The flop of

left Sanchez drawing very thin but the
on the turn gave him a few more outs. However, none of them materialised as the the river came down
and we are down to 15 players
Melanie Weisner, the only player of the fairer sex still in this tournament, has just paid off Nikolay Losev quite substantially.
Joining the action on a board reading

Weiser, in the small blind, was facing a 170,000 from Losev in the big blind. She sat completely still, not even riffling her chips. Eventually, Weisner called but quickly mucked as Losev turned over an unlikely

Weisner drops to 615,000
Team PokerStars pro Richard Toth has been crippled and left with just 280,000 chips after running into Emilliano Bono just moments ago.
Toth opened on the button to 50,000 and Bono quickly moved all in, causing Sanchez to fold in the big blind. With the action back on Toth, he first asked for a count and was informed it would be another 531,000 to call. Around a minute later he made the call and both players revealed their hands.
Bono:

Toth:

The flop came down

keeping Toth in front but also giving Bono outs to a straight and the nut flush. Toth pleased with the Poker Gods to let his nines hold.
Turn:
- Toth's nines were still in front
River:
- Disaster for the Hungarian as the six of spades on the river improves Bono to a flush and the best hand.
After a rather over the top celebration from Bono he shook Toth's hand and stacked his 1,200,000 stack up.

The board read

when Roberto Nulli went all in. Richard Toth made the call.
Toth:
for two pair, nines and fives
Nulli:
for a gutshot and a baby flush draw, plus the fives on the board
River:
bringing in Nulli's flush
"YES!!!" cried Nulli and punched the air. He doubled to around 500,000. Toth was left with 800,000.
Marco Leonzio opened for 60,000 in the hijack and Peter Skripka made it 140,000 from the cutoff. On the button, Salvatore Bonavena tanked up for a long time before announcing all in. "Forza Italia!" cried someone at the rail. Leonzio snap-folded, but Skripka thought about it only very briefly before making the call.
Skripka:

Bonavena:

Looking pretty good for a chop, right?
Flop:

"One more spade!" said Skripka.
Turn:
"One more spade!"
River:
Ouch. With that, Mr. Bonavena is out of the running, and we are down to just two former EPT winners in the field - Rob Hollink and Kevin MacPhee. Skripka is now gigantic chip leader on 3.3 million.
