Liv and Let Liv's Blinds Alone

Jakob Carlsson limped in from the small blind, but big blind Liv Boeree was having none of it. She raised to 900,000, and Carlsson laid it down immediately.

The next hand Carlsson raised to 450,000 form the button, but Boeree made it 1.1 million from the small blind and he gave it up.

Use The Fours

Toni Pettersson raised to 525,000 and Jakob Carlsson defended in the big blind. The flop was a dry {9-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} and the Swede check-called a bet of 425,000 from his Finnish opponent.

The turn was the {K-Spades} and Carlsson check-called a second bet, this time to the tune of 650,000. The river was the {3-Spades} and it went check-check on the river. Pettersson was forced to show {Q-Spades} {10-Clubs} losing out to Carlsson who had been obstinate with his {4-Diamonds} {4-Spades}

Alexey Rybin Eliminated in 5th Place (€270,000)

Alexey Rybin - 5th Place
Alexey Rybin - 5th Place
Michael Piper raised preflop to 350,000 before Alexey Rybin reraised to 950,000 behind him. Jakob Carlsson four-bet from the button to 1,980,000 and everyone including Piper folded.

Rybin though was more stubborn and decided to make the call.

The flop was {2-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} and Rybin checked across to the Swedish chip leader, Carlsson bet out 1,460,000 to send the Russian into the tank.

Rybin counted out his remaining chips before check-raising all-in. Carlsson shrugged and sighed, not looking too confident and turned over {J-Clubs} {J-Spades}. But Rybin flipped {A-Hearts} {10-Clubs} and could not catch another ten or the ace on the {Q-Spades} turn or {5-Hearts} river.

Rybin goes home with €270,000 for his efforts while Carlsson now has just shy of 20 million of the 37 million chips in play. Can he be stopped?

Michael Piper opened for 360,000 and it folded around to Giuseppe Diep in the small blind who pushed all in for 1,235,000. Piper did not think twice, he just called.

Piper: {10-Spades} {10-Hearts}
Diep: rather taking a chance with {8-Clubs} {9-Clubs}

Flop: {8-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {2-Hearts} giving Diep a pair of eights.

Turn: {2-Clubs} giving Diep a flush draw as well.

River: {6-Hearts} giving Diep 6th place money and a round of applause.
