On the Brink of Disaster

The gentleman in the small blind who seems to have mislaid his ID card raised and then called the push from Jensen Brink in the big blind.

Mr. Small Blind: {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts}
Brink: {K-Hearts} {6-Hearts}

The smart money would normally have been on Mr. SB there, but the board came down {10-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} to double up Brink to a still rather shaky 160,000.

There's Always an Ace

Dmitry Stelmak
Dmitry Stelmak
We joined a pot in progress just as the flop was rolling out {7-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {7-Hearts}. John "Flushy" Dempsey was the leading bettor, and he made it 36,000 to go. Dmitry Stelmak was his lone opponent, and he didn't waste too much time putting in the calling chips.

On the turn {A-Hearts}, Flushy took a good long while, like maybe three minutes, to check. Stelmak thought for just a moment before checking it back.

The river came the {Q-Diamonds}, and this time the check came instantly from Flushy. Stelmak decided a bet of 55,000 was in order, and Flushy didn't seem to pleased to have to call with his {K-Hearts} {K-Spades}. Sure enough, Stelmak flipped up the winning {A-Clubs} {J-Hearts}, dragging the pot and knocking Dempsey down to 555,000.

Ride of the Valkenburg

We arrived juuuuust in time to witness a mammoth three-way all in confrontation.

Heinrich di Santo: {K-Spades} {J-Clubs}
Dag Martin Mikkelsen: {4-Spades} {9-Clubs}
Paul Valkenburg: {J-?} {4-?}

Board: {4-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {7-Spades}

We didn't get there in time to see the action, but this time it seems very safe to say that the chips went in on the flop.

Di Santo hit the rail and Mikkelsen dropped to 350,000. Valkenburg, however, enjoyed a full triple up to around 800,000.

A Gross Level

Steve "gboro780" Gross has lost a huge amount of his chips, first being forced out after he raised the turn of a {K-?} {8-?} {5-?} {Q-Diamonds} board with two diamonds. Kamir Karabulut had bet 150,000 and snap-shoved after Gross raised to 320,000, the Turk showed the {6-Diamonds}.

Soon after Gross had his {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} cracked by Armando Graziano's {A-Spades} {9-Spades} during a {4-Spades} {6-Spades} {K-Spades} {A-Clubs} {2-Spades} board.

Gross has dropped down to 110,000.

Flushed Away

GG Flushy
GG Flushy
James "Flushy" Dempsey has been knocked out. Having lost with {K-?} {K-?} to Dmitry Stelmak's {A-?} {J-?}.

Dempsey raised preflop and fired his standard 32,000 bet on a {J-?} {10-?} {7-?} flop, Stelmak made a large check-raise to 192,000 and Dempsey pushed all-in with {Q-?} {Q-?} only to find Stelmak holding {J-?} {10-?}. Dempsey picked up more outs on the {K-?} turn but could not hit anything on the river and the Russian picked up a massive pot to put him over a million in chips.
