Baekke Drives the Betting

Allan Baekke
Allan Baekke
Allan Baekke opened with a raise to 23,000 from late position, and Johannes Holstege put in a three-bet to 53,000 next door. Baekke called the remainder, and the two men went off to a flop of {2-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}.

They'd both check there, and the dealer dropped the {Q-Diamonds} on fourth street. That drew a leading bet of 60,000 from Bakke which Holstege wasted little time calling.

Fifth street brought the {A-Clubs} and another bet from Baekke, 102,000 this time. Once again, the call came relatively quickly from his neighbor. Baekke tabled {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}, but that ace on the river had only cost him chips. Holstege showed up the winning {A-Spades} {K-Spades}, and that pot moves him up to about 680,000.

Don't you worry about Baekke; he's still doing just fine with about 1.1 million.
