Guerfi Doubles Through Perrins

[Removed:146] limped in from the small blind and big blind Matt Perrins checked his option. They'd got as far as the turn of the {7-Hearts} {3-Spades} {2-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} board when the chips went in.

Perrins: {7-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} for flopped two pair
Guerfi:{A-Spades} {2-Spades} for turned, higher two pair

River: {10-Hearts}

There was some showy celebration at the French rail as Guerfi doubled to 3.8 million, second in chips behind sole remaining Lebanese player Chouity. Perrins was left with 1.3 million.

Im-Plaus-ible

It's not been a very good 20 minutes or so for Aleh Plauski. He pushed from the button after Josef Klinger had pushed the cutoff and everyone else ducked for cover.

Klinger: {K-Spades} {J-Diamonds}
Plauski: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}

The board decided to favour the short stack, coming {10-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {K-Hearts}. Klinger is back on his way up.

Costa Doubles

It folded around to Herve Costa on the button and he finally shoved, but got no takers.

The next hand he shoved again from the cutoff for 470,000, and this time Aleh Plauski called in the small blind. On their backs.

Costa: {4-Clubs} {5-Clubs}
Plauski: {A-Clubs} {10-Hearts}

Board: {8-Clubs} {4-Spades} {Q-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {7-Clubs}

"Allez!" shouted the French rail as their boy doubled up to around a million.

Short Stacks Get Shorter

Josef Klinger raised to 140,000 under the gun but Aleh Plauski made it 400,000 to go. Everyone folded, including big blind Herve Costa with less than 400,000 left, and eventually Klinger folded too, leaving himself on 600,000.

Next hand it folded around to Costa in the small blind and he folded too, leaving himself with just a few big blinds.

Kling-on

Dominykas Karmazinas raised to 135,000 before Josef Klinger reraised to 340,000 from the big blind.

Karmazinas asked how much Klinger had left before pushing all-in. Klinger quickly folded.

Klinger joins Costa in the super short stack department now. Both are in danger of not making the final table now.

Salvatore Bonavena Eliminated in 11th Place (€80,000)

Bonavena - 11th place
Bonavena - 11th place
Up on the feature table Nicolas Chouity and was faced with a push for 1,420,000 from Salvatore Bonavena in the small blind. Chouity thought about it...

...and thought about it...

...and then he called.

Bonavena: {J-Clubs} {J-Spades}
Chouity: {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}

Board: {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {9-Clubs}

Chouity spiked, Bonavena failed to re-spike, and thus we lose our last EPT champion. Chouity, on the other hand, is in an extremely good spot to pick up an EPT title of his own - on 8.6 million after that, he's got double the stack of his nearest rival with 10 players left.

All In & Call & Fold

It folded around to Matt Perrins in the small blind who asked for a count on big blind Herve Costa - a little under 600,000. Then he raised to cover him.

Costa dwelled up for a while and was surprised when the dealer announced all in and call - for he had not called. The dealer was put right, all the railers who had suddenly craned over the rail to see dispersed, and after a very short time Costa folded. Once again, the pot went to Perrins.

The Klinger & Perrins Show

Well, mostly it's the Perrins show - he has definitely been the most aggressive player at the outer table, raising nearly every hand, and so far seems to have got the better of at least one opponent, Josef Klinger.

First up we saw Klinger raise to 140,000 under the gun and Perrins reraise to 380,000 out of the small blind. Short-stacked Herve Costa in the big blind thought about it for a long time but folded. Klinger, however, made the call.

They saw a {6-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {3-Spades} flop and went no further, because Perrins bet out 340,000 and Klinger gave it up there. One-nil to Perrins.

Next hand Perrins raised to 125,000 on the button and Klinger called in the big blind before checking the {8-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} flop. Perrins bet 150,000 and Klinger folded. Two-nil.

McCorkell Gets Caught...

Nicolas Chouity raised preflop and Craig McCorkell made the call from the blinds.

The flop was {K-Clubs} {10-Spades} {9-Spades} and McCorkell check-called a bet of 175,000.

On the {3-Clubs} turn McCorkell check-called again this time for 250,000. The river was the {5-Clubs} and McCorkell checked a third time, Chouity fired the 3rd barrel for 340,000.

McCorkell then unexpectedly announced a raise to 1,120,000 and Chouity looked very upset but made the call quickly.

McCorkell could only show {J-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} but had lost out to Chouity's {Q-Spades} {J-Spades} for the flopped straight.
