Jean Francois Talbot opened for 55,000 from the cutoff and got called by both Sami Kelopuro on the button and Claudiu Saizu in the small blind to see a flop. Saizu checked and Talbot very quickly bet 80,000. Kelopuro folded immediately, but Saizu now made it 225,000 to go.
Talbot looked as though he was really considering it, but in the end he passed.
Nicolas Chouity bet heavily on the turn of a board and then fired again on the river to the tune of 275,000. Claudiu Saizu called both times, but then mucked when Chouity turned over for a rivered straight.
Chouity increased to 2.6 million, Saizu was left with 700,000.
Nick Schulman opened from UTG but Laurent Olive reraised to 140,000 behind him. Roger Hairabedian tanked before moving all-in for about 600,000 or so.
Schulman folded but Olive debated for a minute before electing to make the call for a third of his stack.

The suddenly put Olive in with a shout, but a turn and put paid to his hopes of eliminating his compatriot. Hairabedian is up to 1,350,000 and is now the chip leader on the feature table.
It folded around Laurent Olive on the button, who raised to 64,000, and Manuel Bevand in the small blind promptly shoved. Olive, the only player at the feature table with over a million in chips, quickly called.

With that, the Frenchman is sent home with €50,000 as consolation. Olive moves up to over 1.5 million.
A short stacked Paul Berende did not take long in moving all-in preflop with Claudiu Saizu making the call behind him as the blinds folded out of the way.

No luck for the Dutchman who also went deep in San Remo and goes out here in 24th place
First hand and up on the feature table short-stacked Andrew Chen opened for 52,000. No-one fancied taking him on, and he picked up the blinds and antes to significantly boost his stack.
