Morten Erlandsen Eliminated in 10th Place (€44,000)

The unlucky Erlandsen
The unlucky Erlandsen

There is only one thing better than being good and that is being lucky and good. Team Pokerstars Pro Daniel Negreanu just eliminated Morten Erlandsen in 10th place and it will take some time for "Pokergirl1" to get over this one.

Erlandsen had just taken his seat on the feature table and must have thought that all his Christmases had come at once when Michael Eiler opened for 97,000, Negreanu called in the Small Blind and he looked down to see Pocket Aces. It looked just like the perfect opportunity for a squeeze steal play and he made it when he shoved for 646,000. Eiler got out of the way and Negreanu - telling Erlandsen that he had the better hand - called.

"I don't have the best hand?" Negreanu said when he saw the Rockets of Erlandsen, while he turned over pocket sevens.

Erlandsen was about to double up and just before the Dealer dealt the flop he asked him to "give me an Ace."

"An Ace?" enquired Negreanu.

Flop: {9-Spades} {j-Clubs} {6-Spades}

Nearly there...

Turn: {7-Diamonds}

So that's why he needed an Ace?

River: {3-Clubs}

And just like that Pokergirl1 was gone!
