Andreas Wiese Eliminated in 6th Place (€105,000)

Andreas Wiese
Andreas Wiese

With 705,000, Andreas Wiese was looking for an open spot to get his short stack in, and a late position window appeared to be open. In they went, but his shove was snap-called in the big blind by Michael Eiler. That wasn't surprising, considering he held {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. Wiese was looking for some help for his {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}...

The board ran out with a little bit of intrigue in the form of a five on the turn, but ultimately the {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} did not help the all-in Wiese and he takes his leave of the EPT Vienna final table.

Eiler's big pair held, which may have come as a surprise to the young German, after two all-in confrontations yesterday both saw his paint pairs lose to single aces. Now back to around 3 million, Eiler remains firmly in the game.
