Women Are the Break

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Actually that's a lie; there's really only Gloria Balding and Michelle Orpe here, and they're taking a break too. Back in 15 minutes.

The Eames Always Rises to the Top

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

John Eames moved all-in for about 950,000 from the small blind and Michael Tureniec gave him a spin in the big blind with {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} but was behind to the Briton's {A-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}.

The flop was {7-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} and Tureniec was already drawing to runner-runner, the {6-Clubs} confirmed Eames' second double up and the {2-Spades} river was inconsequential.

Eames is now just shy of 2 million chips, he's back in this.

Eames Back in Seven Figures!

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
John Eames
John Eames

Instantly, Eames shoved for half a million over Per Linde's 110k preflop raise. Now so short that he was going to cause no real damage to either of the others, Linde autocalled.

Eames: {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Linde: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Flop: {10-Spades}{K-Spades}{6-Spades}
Turn: {4-Spades}
River: inconsequential {6-Diamonds}

Eames is up to the million mark once more and now might give the big stacks pause for thought before they take his shove on.

Massive Double Up for Tureniec!

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

On the button, Michael Tureniec opened for 105,000. Per Linde passed his small blind, but in the big blind John Eames made it 280,000 to go. Back to Tureniec, who tanked up for some time before making it 600,000. Back to Eames, who also had a little dwell, before five-betting to 1.08 million - as EPT Live said, perhaps the first time in EPT history that a finalist has made a five-bet that wasn't all in. So when Tureniec went all in for 4.145 million, it constituted a six-bet. Eames called, and it was a race for a vast chip lead.

Eames: not kings this time, but {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Tureniec: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Board: {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Eames had Tureniec covered, but only just - he's down to little more than 10 big blinds on 525,000. Tureniec is now in possession of around 60% of the chips.

Stacks Equalise

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Two pots have gone to John Eames courtesy of Michael Tureniec, which have repositioned him at the top of the chip counts. The latest one saw him raise on the button (110k) called by small blind Tureniec. Eames bet 150k when it was checked to him and Tureniec called. The turn was the {8-Spades} which saw another Eames barrel - this time 330k which Tureniec refused to call.
