A bad first session for Theodor Lothman saw him rest on exactly 10,000 as the first break approached. He raised utg+1 to 400, called in one spot before Patrick Adrianus Dijk upped it to 1,500. Back to Lothman, who moved his stack all in. The flatter disappeared but Dijk quickly made the call, putting the short stack at risk.

The board ran out giving a decisive double to Lothman and a very playable stack even though it's 10k below the starting one...
The large number of red T1,000 chips in the middle of the table, along with just a smattering of yellow T5,000 ones, aroused our interest.
The board read and Antonio Buonanno was betting out an astonishingly-hefty-for-Level- 2 9,000. Across the table Ayaz Manji looked as though he was seriously considering it, but in the end he passed.
Manji must have had a good start to the day, but is now back down to an almost smack-on-the-average 30,000. Buonanno is doing rather better on 47,000.
The players get 15 minutes to mull over the start to their EPT experience, or just stand around drinking the free cartons of orange juice the Radisson Blu is kind enough to provide.
Peter Hedlund, with a healthy 36,100, is one of the few Day 1b players to have embraced chatting through the early levels. This has to be one of the most low-key fields in total ever seen on the EPT - there is occasionally some polite discussion of hands or queries aimed at the dealer, but the banter-ometer is reading close to zero.
He was last seen saying with a completely straight face to his tablemate, "You know, next year this event, the Main Event, is going to be Deuce to Seven."
A flop of was checked to former EPT finalist Rasmus Nielsen who bet 1,000. Vojtech Ruzicka made the call while initial raiser Julian Stuer folded. However all action was seemingly killed by the turn which went check-check, as did the river. Ruzicka showed while Nielsen flashed his hugely drawy before sending it sailing into the much.
The board was reading and Helen Prager had fired out a bet of 4,300 on the river against former EPT London runner-up Michael Tureniec. The Swede was tanking before he made what he clearly perceived to be was a crying call, Prager turned over only to find out that Tureniec had her pipped with .
John Duthie was a late arriver today at EPT Copenhagen, but the Team PokerStars Pro and creator of the EPT has had a good start, he just had a 2,050 bet paid off on the river of a board by Orjan Skommo. Duthie showed for a turned flush.
We arrived at Viktor Blom's table to find him looking down at a board. His opponent - we believe one Mihalis Morozous - checked, and Blom bet 5,600. Morozous called, but shrugged when Blom turned over for a straight. Morozous himself revealed for a most unfortunate loss.
"Nice hand," said Morozous.
"Thank you," said Blom - although in our minds this brief conversation read, "NH - TY".
