About to Hirle Man

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Mark Hirleman
Mark Hirleman

Charles Mclntyre opened to 24,000 from late position and PokerStars qualifier Mark Hirleman moved all-in from the big blind for about 180,000.

Tank.

More tank.

Finally, a call as McIntyre turned up {8-Diamonds} {8-Spades} to Hirleman's {K-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a race.

After the flop of {2-Hearts} {A-Spades} {8-Clubs} it became less a race and more of a handicap chase as Hirleman was drawing dead by the {2-Spades} turn, the {7-Clubs} river signifying very little.

Sick Straight for Jensen

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Johnny Jensen
Johnny Jensen

Johnny Jensen, who spent much of yesterday right at the top of the chip counts but watched his stack dwindle through much of today, is back up to a not-far-off-the-average 380,000.

A pretty big pot had formed by the river of the {a-}{9-}{10-}{10-}{j-} board, when Jensen bet 110,000. Online qualifier Kevin Iacofano called, but then mucked and announced, "Sick," when Jensen turned over {7-}{8-} for the rivered straight.

Can He Do It Twice? No He Kent

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Kent Lundmark
Kent Lundmark

We will be crowning a brand new EPT champion this week - the last former EPT winner in the field has just bitten the dust.

Kent Lundmark, who took down EPT Barcelona late last year, three-bet shoved with {a-}{4-} to a raise from Per Linde, but Lars Krogh re-shoved from the small blind with {a-}{q-}. Lundmark failed to spike, and has thus cleared the way for a new EPT title holder.

Shipping Costs Extra

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Pernille Ravn has been pressing the all-in button quite a bit recently. Her table is still giving her quite a lot of respect, however, and each time she steals a set of 5/10k blinds it becomes dearer for potential eliminators to make the preflop call. Still one of the shortest stacks still remaining, she seems not at all stressed about it and cheerfully talks to her rail in Danish between hands.

As Easy as It Seames

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
John Eames
John Eames

John Eames is not a rushed player. He's a starer, a chip trickster, and a time-taker. He is rather consistent in all these things, and his opponents seem to be having some trouble with him, short stack or no short stack. Just now button Joel Nordkvist made it 20k, and Eames upped it to 54k from the small blind. The flop came down {3-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Slowly, Eames bet 57k. Almost as slowly, Nordkvist raised to 114k. Back to Eames, who slowly moved all-in. The only quick decision here was Nordkvist's - to fold immediately at this point.

Flop is Vit-Kind

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Dmitry Vitkind
Dmitry Vitkind

Dmitry Vitkind pushed all-in for 49,000 and found Ivan Freitez isolating to 160,000 from the button. Vitkind smiled ruefully but then looked much happier to find his {Q-Diamonds} {J-Spades} racing against {8-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} and happier still when the board came {6-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {5-Spades}.

The Russian who made the final at Tallinn, now has over 100,000 once more.
