George Danzer - count the headlights on the highway
George Danzer is out. We didn't see it ourselves - we just got there in time to see Danzer scowling and leaving - but Philipp Salewski who was raking in the pot told us that Danzer shoved for 16,000 with over a raise and a call, before Salewski himself reshoved with .
Julien Brecard has been knocked out after he made a big bluff, pushing all-in for 24,000 into a 27,000 pot on the turn of a board with . But found he was drawing dead when Michael Tureniec made the call with , rendering the river meaningless.
At least Brecard can now go and celebrate his birthday.
John Eames has been eliminated from EPT Snowfest after a play with pocket eights went terribly wrong for him.
Eames was busy stacking the chips he had won in the previous hand against Alessio Isaia when disaster struck. Dominique Franchi (UTG+1) kicked things off with a raise to 1,650, the table folded to Sofia Lövgren on the button and she made the call. Eames, from the big blind, first asked how many chips Lövgren had an when he was informed he raised it up to 5,450.
Franchi then looked at both of his opponent's stacks before making another raise, this one topping the scales at 10,850. This was enough to force Lövgren to fold but Eames was not planning on folding. After a little thinking time he announced he was all in and cannot have been happy when Franchi snap-called.

The final board ran out and with it Eames' tournament was brought to an abrupt end and he will not be repeating his third place finish he achieved at the recent EPT Copenhagen Main Event.
It looked as though Dmitry Vitkind had raised and the gent two seats to his left had reraised; either way Vitkind put him in and the reraiser called.
Vitkind:
Shortie: where neither of those cards were a diamond
The short stack had a bit of a sweat when the first four cards came down , but sighed with relief when the river came down a harmless to chop the pot. Railers and players alike were treated to a rare smile from Vitkind, who remains on a steady 50,000.
Filip Nechansky is the latest to hit the rail after he unsuccessfully raced against Manilo Iemina's but the door card was another ten and there was a distinct lack of straightening cards to save him.
It's still hard going for all our competitors on the Table of Death™ because no-one has a really large stack meaning it's all quite tight there for most of the players.
Case in point, Kevin MacPhee opened to 1,800 from late position and called Carlo Misuraca's 3-bet of 4,100 from the small blind.
Both players checked the flop but Misuraca fired out 5,650 on the term resulting in a quick muck from the former EPT Berlin champion who is left with about 40,000.
Georgy Abashidze was already all in when we got there; betting continued between Philip Meulyzer and Byron John Kaverman until all their chips went in too, and they were soon at a three-way all-in showdown.

Abashidze and Kaverman both hit the rail, and Meulyzer had time to stack up his chips - the two exits left his table six-handed and dealing was paused while the floor man went to find some fresh victims, sorry, players to put on this now ridiculously stacked table. Meulyzer's stack was at exactly 191,400 after that hand, putting him ahead of Michael Tureniec who has dropped a little to around 185,000 and is incidentally seated right next to Meulyzer, Meulyzer with position.
