It's Tureniec-ing Into a One Man Show

Level 7 : 300/600, 50 ante
Michael Tureniec
Michael Tureniec

Michael Tureniec, the EPT Copenhagen Champion, has really got his foot on the gas right now and is sat behind several towers of chips that total around 210,000!

He had already taken over the chip lead after this hand and he has now extended his advantage over the rest of the field after a good call on the river in a hand against Sandro Ruegg.

Joining the hand on the turn, where the board read {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs} Ruegg bet 12,200 and Tureniec made the call. The river was the {7-Spades} and Ruegg bet again, this time 16,500, leaving himself around 22,000 behind. Tureniec went into the tank for almost three minute and when he emerged he made the call.

Ruegg acknowledged the call and turned over {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, not good enough to beat Tureniec's {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
