Some Pots That Made it Past the Flop

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

The vast majority of pots are being settled preflop at the moment but a couple have made it through to the flop and beyond.

In one hand Giacomo Maisto raised to 175,000 from the small blind and Vladimir Geshkenbein snap-called in the big blind. The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, Maisto checked, Geshkenbein made it 200,000 to play and Maisto check-raised to 600,000. Geshkenbein had folded before the Italian's chips had even crossed the betting line!

Immediately afterwards Geshkenbein clashed with fellow big stack Kevin Vandersmissen. Geshkenbein opened to 130,000 from the button and Vandersmissen called from the big blind. A flop of {3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts} was greeted with a check from Vandersmissen, a bet of 160,000 from Geshkenbein and a call from the young Belgian.

The dealer put the {a-Clubs} on the board for the turn and both players checked. The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Vandersmissen bet 240,000, enough to force a fold from Geshkenbein.
