EPT Deauville champion Lucien Cohen has taken a tiny dip down to around 140,000 after doubling up a micro-stack. The chips went in on the flop, Cohen's playing the shortie's . The turn and river came down and respectively, making the short stack the winning hand - although he was probably not as overjoyed as one might expect, seeing as the double up was to just 33,000.
A gentleman in early position opened to 3,100 and the gentleman in the hijack called before Juan Maceiras reraised to 7,800. The original raiser called, but Hijack Gentleman now shoved for 42,700. Maceiras called, Original Raiser got out of their way and they were on their backs.

The first EPT champion of this season is also the latest to be eliminated, Kevin Stani was all in with against Ankush Mandavia's but the board came an aceless and the Norwegian was sent packing.
Xuan Liu is up to 143,000 after a river move all-in on a board of (the second ace being the river card). She had a just-over-pot amount left - 73,000 into a 70,000 pot, which gave her opponent Dmitry Gromov occasion for a long think. He had 180,000 total and this bet was not peanuts - he finally let it go and she took it down with no show. Jan Bendik, who finalled the EPT in Prague back in December of last year, fired out 8,000 on the turn of a board against Carter Phillips (former EPT Barcelona winner) - the American youngster making the call to see the river. Bendik checked and Phillips bet 14,000 but then the Czech player check-raised to 34,000.
