The European Poker Tour (EPT) is one of the biggest and baddest tours on the planet. People flock from all over the world to play in these events and interestingly a few tribes seem to develop. As we parted for the break the various members of the tribes gathered together to share their bad beat stories as they walked down the hall. Two people who seem to travel in two different tribes are Jack Ellwood from the UK and David Sonelin from Sweden. Both players have created fierce reputations online and travel in circles with former EPT winners. Ellwood travels to events with Jake Cody and Sonelin the same with Kent Lundmark.

Both players are attached at the hip over at table 31. Sonelin is sat in seat 9 with a set of shades on that wouldn't have looked out of place on the face of Eric Estrada in CHiPs. Ellwood is sat quiet as a mouse in seat 10.

Ellwood didn't play in many pots while we were watching but Sonelin got involved in one or two.

Sonelin raised from the cut-off with a bet of 375, Alberto Musini three-bet out of the small blind making it 1,025 to play and Sonelin called. The flop was {4-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {8-Spades} and a 1,600 Musini bet won the pot.

Then we caught a hand on a flop of {9-Clubs} {3-Spades} {5-Clubs} Andreas Lutz bet 2,200 and Sonelin called. The turn completed the flush {4-Clubs}, Lutz checked and Sonelin bet 10,000 and it covered the Lutz stack. With his stack on the line Lutz eventually decided to fold and Sonelin took down the hand.

Will Sonelin or Ellwood follow in the footsteps of Cody or Lundmark?
