With 1,425 in the middle on the flop, Andre Akkari and one other player checked before Daniel Reijmer fired 800. Akkari folded and the other player called.
The turn was the to pair the board with cowboys and both players checked to see the land on the river. Both checked again.
Reijmer's was no good against his opponent's for a rivered two pair. Reijmer lost the pot and was left with 22,000.
Martin Jacobson raised Bruno Launais off a hand on a flop.
Jake Cody raised in to Nacho Barbero's big blind. The Argentine called but check-folded to Cody's c-bet on a flop.
Lex Velduis barreled every street on a board in a heads-up battle with Alejandro Pineiro. The river bet was 6,600 and Pineiro called and mucked when the Dutchman tabled for two-pair.
Matt Waxman was under the gun plus one on this hand and opened with a raise to 325. Only the player in the big blind made the call to see the flop come down . Both checked and the turn brought the . Both checked again.
The fell on the river and after the big blind checked, Waxman bet 600 and won the pot as his opponent folded.
We were late to the party again, only joining this hand in time for the final two actions of the hand.
The board showed when we approached, and Domantas Klimciauskas led out with 5,000 into a pot of more than twice that. He was heads-up against Pierre Neuville, and the Friend of PokerStars promptly put in a raise to 10,200. After a couple minutes of consideration, Klimciauskas moved all in for about 21,000 total, and Neuville quickly called.
Showdown
Klimciauskas:
Neuville: ....
Oh, that'll do! Klimciauskas had rivered the nuts, and Neuville eventually flashed his now-worthless as he spun them into the muck. The full house is no good, and it robs Neuville of all but about 6,000 of his chips. Klimciauskas, on the other hand, must be around 55,000 now after that double.
Michael Graydon came 24th in the recent EPT Tallinn where he was unlucky to bust with pocket aces to eventual winner Ronny Kaiser's ace-king. Here, he's floating on around 32,000 after maneuvering November Niner Anton Makiievskyi off a hand.
Simon Charrette opened to 525 and was called by Makiievskyi and Graydon. The flop came down and the action was checked to Makiievskyi who bet 900. Graydon was the only caller to the turn where he took over the initiative with a 1,600 bet. Makiievskyi looked confused at the move and let his hand go.
Simon Charette looked up and said to me, "You may as well stand there all the time as he (nod in Ben Wilinofsky's direction) needs one."
It seems as if the reigning EPT Berlin champion has been tearing it up and right on cue the Canadian delivered. He raised to 500 from early position and was called in two spots before Basil Yaiche three-bet to 1,350. the action was back on Wilinofsky ans he put in a four-bet to 3,500. It did the job as all three opponents folded. Charette smiled as he watched his neighbour tidy up his 67,000 stack.
There's a table along the rail that contains three Team PokerStars Pros, and they're all sitting in a row. Sandra Naujoks was under the gun for the previous hand, and she came into the pot raising. Next door, Marcin Horecki made the call. One more seat over, Juan Maceiras decided to pick on his fellow pros, squeezing in a reraise to 1,650. When it came back around to Naujoks, she raised it again, 4,225 total. That folded Horecki without incident, but Maceiras took pause with a no-fold look on his face. After a couple minutes, he made it 8,675 total, and Naujoks frowned and folded rather quickly.
