Charalampos Kapernopoulos Losing Ground

Charalampos Kapernopoulos has been our chip leader for the entire day, but we believe he has been replaced by Hauke Heseding in the past few minutes.

Ioannis Taramas raised to 42,000 in the cutoff and Charalampos Kapernopoulos defended his big blind. The flop was {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {4-Hearts} and Kapernopoulos bet 32,000 and Taramas called. The turn of {Q-Hearts} was checked through and then we saw the {2-Spades} on the river. Kapernopoulos checked and after Taramas bet 40,000 he folded his hand.

Schlepping Down the Leaderboard

Florian Schleps has had a few minutes he'll want to forget in a hurry.

First he opened to 32,000, Dimitris Mpinas moved all in for 230,000 and Rupert Elder reraised all in behind him.

Schleps,"Well, that made my decision easy," folding {A-Spades}{J-Spades} face up.

Elder: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Mpinas: {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

When the board came {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for Mpinas to double up, Schleps made a sound like nails across a chalkboard in sadness.

But it got worse. Oh yes.

Schleps got into a raising war aganst David Elyashar, dominating the Israeli with {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} against {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} but the board came {Q-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} - Schleps has dropped about half his stack.D
