Welcome to Day 4 of EPT Loutraki

EPT Loutraki
EPT Loutraki

Good afternoon and welcome to the live coverage of EPT Loutraki. The inaugural Greek event started four days ago and since then 336 players have been whittled down to the final 38. Our plan for the day will be to whittle that down further. In fact we will not stop until we get our final table of eight players - our very own Clash of the Titans!

For those of you who have been in a coma for the past four days here is a little recap for you:

On Day 1a, 145 players started and 102 survived with German poker player Julian Herold leading the way with 138,425 chips. Day 1b saw the slightly bigger field of 191 players fly over the Gulf of Corinth and 130 players made it through to the end. Once again the leader was from Germany as Mario Puccini found his way to the top with 159,150 chips.

Day 2 finally saw the end of the German dominance as Team PokerStars Pro Toni Judet broke through to the top spot. He bagged up 288,200 chips at the end of a day that had only 100 players remaining. Then yesterday 100 players were diluted down to 38 and Greek Doctor, Charalampos Kapernopoulos, ended the day as a big chip leader with 892,500 after eliminating former EPT Champion Kevin MacPhee at the death.

Notables and just plain bad asses left in the final 38 are former EPT Champion Rupert Elder (497,500), Day 1a chip leader Julian Herold (93,500), Day 1b chip leader Mario Puccini (495,500), Day 2 chip leader Toni Judet (255,00) and Team PokerStars Pro and online phenom Jude Ainsworth.

Action starts at 12.00 (CET) so don't wander off too far!
