Hrdlicka Heads Out

Under the gun, Andreas Wiese raised to 35,000, and David Hrdlicka three-bet shoved for about 300,000 total. Wiese would be forced to fold because Pontus Khosravi found {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} and made an easy call. When Wiese folded, Hrdlicka showed up his {7-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}, racing for double or nothing.

It would be nothing. The board came {K-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {3-Hearts}, and the Czech Republic has lost another hometown hero. Hrdlicka is out, and Khosravi has moved over the million-chip mark with that KO.

Tevosov KO's Vidal

Jude Ainsworth raised to 35,000 from middle position, but he'd be forced out preflop. That's because Haykel Cherif Vidal shoved in for 300,000 from the button and Garry Tevosov made the call from the small blind. Vidal was at risk, and the cards were on their backs.

Showdown
Vidal: {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}
Tevosov: {A-Clubs} {J-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Spades} {9-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {7-Spades} {K-Diamonds}, and Tevosov's kicker was good enough. It's the end of the line for Vidal, and the eliminations are beginning to mount here on Day 4.

Renkers Climbs Right Back

Even though Patrick Renkers just lost some chips to Danyel Boyaciyan, he was right back at it shortly after taking chips from Ramil Boyazitov.

Play folded to Renkers in the cutoff seat and he raised to 35,000. Boyazitov three-bet to 73,000 from the button and Renkers called to see the {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} flop. Renkers checked, Boyazitov bet 93,000 and Renkers called.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked to see the {3-Clubs} on the turn. Renkers fired 200,000 and Boyazitov verbally snap-called.

Renkers tabled the {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for trip queens. Boyazitov showed {A-}{K-} off suit, but it was second best and Renkers won the pot.

Pastor Pounds the Pavement

Juan Manuel Pastor - out
Juan Manuel Pastor - out

It's not been an enjoyable Day 4 for Juan Manuel Pastor. At least it was a short one. After losing two big flips for almost all the chips, Pastor got the last of his money in good with {K-Hearts} {8-Hearts} against an opponent's {J-Hearts} {8-Clubs}.

The board ran {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {6-Clubs}, though, and the flush sends Pastor steaming out into the corridors.

It's now up to Ireland's Jude Ainsworth to carry the torch for the Team PokerStars Pros.

Ruzicka Stands His Ground

In middle position, Vojtech Ruzicka raised to 36,000, and Jude Ainsworth three-bet to 75,000 a couple seats over. Ruzicka made the call, and off they went.

The dealer spread out {5-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {5-Spades}, and Ruzicka check-called 100,000 from Ainsworth. He check-called another 175,000 after the {8-Hearts} turned, and the {6-Spades} filled out the board on the river. Check-check this time, though Ruzicka looks like he would have preferred another bet.

Ainsworth could only show {K-Hearts} {4-Clubs} for two pair with the king, and Ruzicka's {6-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} was the better of the two hands. His superfluous full house earned him that nice pot to vault his count up to about 1.5 million.

Small Slip for Renkers

After Danyel Boyaciyan opened for an unknown amount from middle position, Patrick Renkers three-bet to 82,000 from the small blind. Boyaciyan called to see the flop come down {Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Renkers fired 58,000, but Boyaciyan came back with a raise to 142,000. Renkers folded and Boyaciyan won the pot.

Call the Pastor!

Jason Gray raised to 38,000 to open the pot, and Ramil Boyazitov called from the button. In the small blind, Juan Manuel Pastor squeezed all in for 352,000 -- the second hand in a row he's sqeeze-shoved. Gray made the call for his last 294,000. Boyazitov ducked out again, and now it was Gray at risk as the cards were turned up.

Showdown
Gray: {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}
Pastor: {10-Spades} {10-Hearts}

Once again, the board ran afoul for the Team PokerStars Pro. It came {5-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {A-Spades}, and he's been forced to pay off another double. He's been dealt pocket jacks and pocket tens on two consecutive hands, and the pocket pairs have run him all the way down under 60,000.

Pastor Cut in Half

First in from middle position, Kimon Lehman raised to 54,000, and Ramil Boyazitov flatted in the small blind. From the big, Juan Manuel Pastor shoved all in for about 740,000. Lehman called all in for 380,000, Boyazitov mucked, and the cards were on their backs.

Showdown
Lehmann: {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}
Pastor: {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds}

The {10-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {J-Hearts} flop was a fine sight for Pastor, reducing Lehmann to four outs for his tournament life.

Turn: {K-Hearts}

Gulp. Pastor was less than thrilled with the gutshot coming in, and he was already drawing dead to a chop before the {3-Spades} river. When he paid out his debt, he was left with just about 350,000.

Those chips were going into the very next pot, too...

McDonald Chips Up; Engel Chips Down

Winner of the EPT German Open back in 2008 MIke "Timex" McDonald opened from middle position to 35,000. Ari Engel flatted on the button and the flop came down {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. McDonald fired a continuation bet of 44,000 and Engel gave it up.

Brosolo Flushes Engel

We arrived at the table with about 175,000 chips in the middle on the {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} board. Ari Engel was up against Yann Brosolo and checked. Brosolo decided on a bet of 100,000 and slid out a tall stack of blue T5,000 chips. Engel called.

Brosolo tabled the {K-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a king-high flush. Engel couldn't beat it and mucked his hand.
