European Poker Tour Awards Winner Martin Jacobson has been moved over to table two and has the chip leader Jan Sointula situated to his direct left. In the first hand after the break Jacobson raised to 3,300 from the hijack and Robert Brofeldt made the call. The flop was and a very confident looking c-bet of 3,200 won the pot for the Swede who now has 50,000.
Markus Lehmann raised to 3,300 under the gun and Jani Sointula called two seats to his left before Konstantinos Meliopoulos made the squeeze pumping it up to 11,000. Everyone folded back around to Lehmann who made a four-bet of 26,000 (he started the hand with 120,000). Sointula asked him for a count and had a deep think before moving all-in and both players quickly folded their hands.
UKIPT Season 1 leader board winner Chris Brammer is out.
He raised from early position and then four-bet when Raigo Aasmaa three-bet from the big blind. Aasmaa five-bet all-in and Brammer tank called with ace-jack. The Estonian tabled pocket kings and they held up to see his stack rise to 190,000.
French Team PokerStars Pro has just seen his already quite short stack decimated after Ville Salmi hit an unlikely runner-runner straight.
Mattern raised preflop to 3,700 from early position and the action folded to Salmi in the small blind. He stack all of his remaining chips into a single tower and moved them forwards as an all in bet. The big blind quickly folded but Mattern was not going anywhere. "How much you have?" he asked, "About 12?" Salmi nodded and Mattern said, "I call."
Mattern turned over and was in a coinflip against the of Salmi. The flop improved Mattern to a set but when his delight soon turned to anguish as the turn and river were the and respectively, giving Salmi a winning straight.
Mattern is now nursing an even shorter stack of around 12,000 whilst Salmi climbs to close to 28,000.
Janne Nevalainen raised to 3,300 in the cut-off and Matthew Frankland moved all-in on the button. The blinds folded and the action fell to Nevalainen.
"Is that your only move?" Nevalainen asked.
"Yeah, it's the only one I have got," said Frankland.
Nevalainen folded and Frankland has 46,000 and a bit more shoving ahead of him.
Praz Bansi and Sami Kelopuro are seated on the same table, with Kelopuro being two seats to Bansi's left. Both players play a high tempo, aggressive style that could see a lot of chips flying about if they clash.
It looked like they would clash just moments ago when Bansi opened from under the gun to 3,800 and Kelopuro three-bet to 9,500. The action folded around to Bansi who asked, "What do you have there? About 150?". Kelopuro started to count but stopped and said, "No. Less than that." At which point Bansi folded.
John Eames and Sergy Pilugin have both been eliminated in the same hand by PokerStars qualifier Danny Nierop.
Eames' had found a dream situation. He was in the big blind and saw both his opponents move all-in from the button and small blind before he looked down at two black rockets, and in the chips went.
Pilugin:
Nierop:
Eames:
The board ran to make the Dutchman a full house. And just to rub salt into Eames' wounds, JP Kelly said he folded a jack.

Arnaud Mattern was crushed earlier whilst holding pocket nines and now he has just doubled up with against . The board ran out a runner-runnerless and the Frenchman has a little more breathing space.
