Harman Calls with Queens and Sees Queens

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

On the {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, Jen Harman called a bet of 7,000 from her opponent before the {2-Spades} landed on the turn. Both players checked here and the {A-Clubs} fell on the river to complete the board. Harman's opponent bet 10,000 and Harman tanked for a couple of minutes. She eventually made the call and her opponent turned over the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. Harman tabled the {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and the two chopped up the pot.

Harman Moving Up in the World

Konstantinos Tsirakidis opened to 2,700, and only Jennifer Harman called to see a heads-up flop. It came {7-Spades} {3-Spades} {7-Diamonds}, and Tsirakidis continued out with another 3,200. Harman raised to put him all in, and Tsirakidis spent a long while in the tank. Some table chatter broke out between him and his neighbors, and we were distracted for a moment by another hand at the adjacent table while he considered the decision for the ~18,000 he had left.

When we looked back, Tsirakidis had folded, and someone (we think Harman) had showed ace-jack.

Veldhuis Over 200K

Lex Veldhuis
Lex Veldhuis

From under the gun, Team PokerStars Pro Lex Veldhuis raised to 2,500. Action folded all the way around to Mohamad Kowssarie in the big blind and he made the call to take the {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop out of position against the Dutch pro.

On the flop, Kowssarie checked and Veldhuis checked behind. That prompted the dealer to burn and turn the {A-Hearts}. Kowssarie checked a second time, but Veldhuis wasn't about to check back this time. He fired 3,000 and Kowssarie called.

The river completed the board with the {8-Hearts} and Kowssarie checked. Veldhuis bet 8,000 and Kowssarie made the call.

Veldhuis tabled the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and Kowssarie mucked his hand. Veldhuis is now over 200,000 in chips.

Paur Doubles Up Two Opponents

Taylor Paur (Day 1b)
Taylor Paur (Day 1b)

Three players got it all in before the flop over on Table 3. It was Fabrizio Leonardi with the shortest stack of 6,500 and {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}, the worst of the three hands. Michele Limongi had 44,900 and the {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}, and Taylor Paur had them both covered with {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {2-Hearts}, and that's pretty lucky for Leonardi. He's tripled back into contention, and Limongi's jacks allow him to double for 38,400, too. It's Paur on the sour end of both shoves, and it looks like he's been reduced to about 120,000 now.
