Day 1b Started
It's almost time for Day 1b of the 2011 PokerStars.it European Poker Tour San Remo. Yesterday saw a starting flight of 359 runners take to the felt with over 100 of them hitting the rail by day's end. Gianluca Trebbi bagged up the most chips at 159,600 and is the overall man to catch so far.
Today should have even more runners than yesterday with plenty more big names and Team PokerStars Pros to fill seats in the tournament area. Some of those slated to play today are Liv Boeree, Jonathan Duhamel, Betrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov and Vanessa Selbst. They'll be joined by Shaun Deeb, Matt Waxman and Philipp Gruissem.
Play is set to kick off at 2:00 PM local time with another eight levels of play on the slate. Just like yesterday, Dinner break will come after Level 5 for half the field and the second half will take it when they come back. Stay tuned for all the updates right here on PokerNews.

Here are some more of the notables we've stumbled across in the middle section.
As far as the table layout goes, we see a lot of pairings of Team PokerStars Pros sharing space.
Sandra Naujoks and Pierpaolo Fabretti are on the same table, and nearby we found Salvatore Bonavena and Liv Boeree sitting across the felt from one another. On the other side of the room, Martin Czuczor and Fatima Moreira de Melo are together, and Jonathan Duhamel and Matthias De Meulder will be looking to terrorize their table along the far windows.
