Cimaglia Runs into Rockets

Eli Bohbot raised to 12,000 to open the pot from early position, and Fernando Cimaglia three-bet to 53,000. Bohbot shoved in with the covering stack, and Cimaglia made the call pretty quickly to put himself all in.

Showdown
Bohbot: {A-Spades} {A-Clubs}
Cimaglia: {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}

There was no help for Cimaglia on the {2-Clubs} {8-Spades} {K-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {10-Spades} board, and Bohbot took a celebratory lap around behind his chair, clapping and yelling about the man he'd just knocked out.

Cortes the Killer

First in from the cutoff, Andrea Dato opened to 12,000, and Jesus Cortes three-bet shoved for 168,000 total. It slowly folded back around to Dato, but he snap-called and insta-tabled {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts}. Dominated and suit-dominated, Cortes' {5-Clubs} {5-Hearts} needed some help in a hurry.

And help arrived. The {Q-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} flop was a disaster for Dato, and he let out a quiet grumble. The turn {J-Spades} and river {8-Spades} were blanks, and Cortes has found his unlikely double. After paying off the debt, Dato is left with just 6,500 lonely chips.

Tankin' Tanzi

From under the gun, Joseph Cheong raised to 14,000. In the next seat, Giampiero Tanzi three-bet to 29,000. Action folded back to Cheong and he made the call to see the flop come {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades}. Both players checked and the turn was the {8-Clubs}. Cheong bet 45,000 and Tanzi called.

The river completed the board with the {7-Diamonds} and Cheong went all in, having Tanzi's last 100,000 or so covered. Tanzi tanked for a bit and then folded, giving Cheong the pot.

Tarallo Doubles Through Ayow

Team PokerStars Pro John Duthie raised to 13,000 and Kevin Ayow called from the small blind. In the big blind, Angelo Tarallo reraised all in for 159,000. Duthie folded and Ayow called.

Ayow: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Tarallo: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Tarallo won the pot with a flush.

William Thorson eliminated
William Thorson eliminated

William Thorson has just been eliminated at the hands of Joseph Cheong, who's back over 600,000 in chips. Thorson had bet 43,000 on the {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} board and Cheong moved all in. Thorson tanked for a bit and then made the call for his last 200,000 or so. Cheong tabled the {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a straight and Thorson mucked his hand.

Fiorini Nails a Lucky River Against Veldhuis

Lex Veldhuis
Lex Veldhuis

Team PokerStars Pro Lex Veldhuis raised from under the gun to 12,000 and Luca Fiorini called from the button to see the {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop. Veldhuis bet 16,000 and Fiorini called.

The {Q-Hearts} landed on the turn and it was party time. Veldhuis bet 41,000 and Fiorini raised all in for 180,000. Velhuis quickly made the call with the {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Fiorini held the {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}.

The river completed the board with the {A-Spades} and gave Fiorini a miracle straight to win him the hand. He celebrated his double up while Veldhuis was left sending over what he owed.
