A Trio of Hands

  • Grzegorz Cichocki raised to 5,200 in the hijack seat and Lauri Varonen called on the button. The flop was {Q-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {3-Spades} and Cichocki c-bet to the tune of 7,200. Varonen counted out a raise of 20,500 and moved them over the line and Cichocki glanced at the clock before folding his hand.
  • Keld Volquardsen raised to 7,000 in first position and after the cut off called Simon Ravnsbaek three-bet from the big blind making it 23,800 to play. Volquardsen four-bet to 62,000, the cutoff folded and after a while in the tank so did Ravnsbaek.
  • Stig Christensen raised to 5,700 in the cutoff and Ravnsbaek defended his big blind. The flop was {K-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} and Ravnsbaek check-called a 7,000 Christensen bet. The same pattern ensued on the {6-Hearts} turn, this time for 11,000, before both players checked at the sight of the {4-Diamonds} on the river. When the cards were turned over Ravnsbaek realised he could have gotten himself in all sorts of trouble had a club hit the board.
