Internet Connection Problems

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Dear poker world,

Please accept our sincere apologies but we are experiencing some internet difficulties here in Copenhagen. Hopefully, the people who are smarter than us will fix it shortly.

Hanna Dodges Kings

Level 9 : 400/800, 100 ante

Ghattas Kortas opened to 1,800 from early position and to his direct left is Alber Hanna and he made it 4,300. The action folded all the way back around to Kortas and he four-bet to 10,600. Hanna winced before sucking air through his teeth and mucking his hand.

Kortas flipped over {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} quite proudly.

Action From Table 34

We followed three hands of action from table 34.

Mads Wissing was using his big stack as he should; by raising lots of pots. He opened to 2,100 before Stig Christensen three-bet to 4,500, and Theo Jorgensen and four-bet to 10,300. The four-bet got the job done as both players folded to the Team PokerStars Pro.

The next hand Wissing raised to 2,100 and was called by both players in the blinds. The flop fell {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and both callers check-folded to a 3,500 c-bet.

Wissing folded from under-the-gun and allowed someone else to open raise. That person was Jonas Molander in the next seat. He raised to 1,800 and was only called by Berndt Gleissner in the small blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Gleissner check-called a 2,500 bet from the Swede. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and Molander second barrel for 4,700 was quickly check-called. Both players checked the {9-Spades} river and Molnader scooped with {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

Romanello Chips Up

Former EPT Prague champion Roberto Romanello is sat behind 118,000 chips and looks comfortable over on Table 30.

In a hand just now Antar Metin made it 1,600 to play from middle position and when everyone folded to Romanello on the button the Welshman made it 3,600 to go. Both blinds folded but Metin put in the extra chips and he called.

Flop: {A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} – Metin checked to Romanello and he bet 3,700. Metin folded and Romanello won the pot. Easy game.

Blomberg Flips With Mattern

Team PokerStars Pro Arnaud Mattern and Thomas Blomberg have just had a flip with Blomberg at risk of elimination. Let's see what happened…

Blomberg{A-} {K-}
Mattern{Q-} {Q-}

The flop {A-} {K-} {J-} pushed Blomberg into the lead, leaving Mattern needing a queen or ten. The turn {4-} and river {3-} was not one of those cards and Mattern was down to 10,000 chips. Blomberg meanwhile was sitting a little prettier on 53,000 when we last left him.

We then witnessed Mattern move all-in twice, uncontested, so we are expecting a double up or elimination pretty soon.

Mason and Lenz Clash in the Blinds

The action folds around to Ashley Mason in the small blind and he makes it 2,200 to play. Christian Lenz sends him a, "don't try that lark with me lad," look and makes the call from the big blind.

Flop: {10-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {4-Diamonds}

Mason c-bets 2,200 and Lenz calls.

Turn: {K-Diamonds}

Mason fires his second barrel of 6,000 and Lenz once again calls.

River: {8-Spades}

Mason decides enough is enough and he taps the felt. Lenz makes a bet of 6,500 and Mason mucks his hand.

Vinson Lucky to Miss His Flush

Ben Vinson raised to 1,800 in early position and Maksim Semisoshenko defended the big blind. The flop was {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {9-Spades} and both players checked. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Semisoshenko bet 2,400. Vinson took his time before making a raise to 6,800 and Semisoshenko made the call. Finally, we saw the {8-Diamonds} and Semisoshenko very quickly check-called a 11,300 Vinson bet.

Vinson turned over {J-Hearts} {4-Hearts} for the missed flush draw and Semisoshenko turned over {A-Hearts} {9-Hearts} for two pair and the draw to the nut flush.

Tureniec Takes On Van Leeuven

From UTG+1 Maikel Van Leeuven made it 1,800 to play. Marcel Bjerkmann folded but Michael Tureniec called. No other players fancied tagging along and it was heads-up to the {9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Spades} flop.

Van Leeuven lead into Tureniec with a 3,200 bet and the Swede called. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Van Leeuven bet again, increasing his bet size to 6,800 and once again Tureniec called. The {7-Clubs} on the river was welcomed with a check of Van Leeuven but Tureniec did not check behind. Instead he bet 13,200 and Van Leeuven had a real decision on his hands.

The Dutchman sat riffling his blue 5,000 chips before checking his cards then looking at Tureniec and finally folding his hand.

Adeniya Wins a Four Bet Pot

Martins Adeniya and Mads Wissing just had an altercation.

Adeniya raised to 1,700 in middle position and Wissing three-bet to 5,000 from the hijack seat. Adeniya, who is dressed like he has just stepped out of a Hugo Boss catalogue, four-bet to 12,800; Wissing made the call and they both shared a flop.

Flop: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {3-Spades}

Adeniya had 45,000 behind and he bet 13,200 and Wissing released his hand.
