Sorensen Soaring

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

From the cutoff Henrik Sorensen made it 4,300 to play and Grzegorz Cichocki took a short break from stacking the chips he had just won in the hand with Chi Hung Shek, to make the call from the small blind.

The dealer put out the {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{K-Clubs} and Cichocki tapped the table and checked then got back to meticulously stacking his chips. Sorensen made a continuation bet of 6,100 and Cichocki instantly called. The turn card was the {4-Spades} and Cichocki check-called again, this time a larger 11,200 bet from Sorensen.

The {8-Clubs} river was dealt just as Cichocki had rebuilt his towers and he checked again. Sorensen looked like a man resigned to losing this hand but that was not the case because when he checked behind and showed {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} his opponent mucked his hand.
