Huge Pot for Gruissem Sends Him Into the Lead

We caught up with the action on the {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} board with the dealer pulling in 103,500 from both Philipp Gruissem and Vincent van der Fluit. The river was the {4-Spades} and Gruissem bet all in. Van der Fluit needed an exact count and the dealer broke the stacks down to 182,700. Van der Fluit tanked for a couple long minutes and then made the call. Gruissem tabled the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} for aces and fours and van der Fluit mucked his hand.

Bonomo Running Hot; Comes from Behind to Bust Two Players

Justin Bonomo was just involved in a three-way all-in pot against Peter Akery and Oleksii Kovalchuk. Bonomo held the worst of it going in with the {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Kovalchuk held the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Akery the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}. Akery was the shortest stack of the bunch, while Bonomo and Kovalchuk were fighting for a side pot.

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Bonomo picked up a gutshot straight draw. Akery kept the lead and Kovalchuk was still in front for the side pot.

The {J-Clubs} spiked on the turn and Bonomo took the lead with a set of jacks. Even Bonomo's face looked extremely surprised as did everyone else's that were watching on.

The river completed the board with the {10-Clubs} and paired the board. Bonomo finished with a full house and because he had the most chips in the hand, eliminated both Akery and Kovalchuk en route to 370,000 in chips.

Bonomo has had himself one heck of a PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final this year. He won the €100,000 Super High Roller for €1.64 million after beating a field of some of the greatest players this game has ever seen. Then, he went on to finish 28th in the Main Event for €35,000 from a starting field of 665 players. He's not in the money yet here in this event and still has a bit of a ways to go, but by the looks of it, everyone better watch out if he's running this hot and playing his A-game.

Antonius Check-Raises Lyndaker On River

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Action folded to Patrik Antonius in the hijack seat and he raised to 5,500. Richard Lyndaker three-bet to 12,600 from the cutoff seat and Antonius called to see the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop. Antonius checked and Lyndaker bet 8,700. Antonius called.

The {8-Hearts} was added to the board on fourth street and both players checked before the dealer went ahead and placed the {2-Diamonds} on the river. Antonius checked and Lyndaker bet 32,500 with just over 70,000 behind. Antonius check-raised to 130,000, which was enough to put Lyndaker all in. Lyndaker looked a bit pained and eventually folded his hand, giving Antonius the pot.

Moorman Busted

From middle position, Chris Moorman reraised to 5,200. Roman Romanovsky was on the button and reraised to 12,200. Play folded back to Moorman and he tanked long and hard. Eventually, Moorman raised all in for approximately 90,000. Romanovsky snap-called.

Romanovsky: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Moorman: {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out with a bunch of nothing for Moorman as the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{Q-Hearts} fell. He was eliminated as Romanovsky climbed to 345,000 in chips.

Kings for Lyndaker

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Patrik Antonius raised to 4,500 from the cutoff seat and Richard Lyndaker called on the button. In the small blind, Imad Derwiche made the call and all three players saw the flop come down {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Derwiche checked and Antonius bet 7,500. Lyndaker called and Derwiche folded.

The turn was the {A-Hearts} and Antonius checked. Lyndaker bet 16,000 and Antonius made the call. The river was the {8-Clubs} and both players checked.

Antonius mucked after he saw Lyndaker table the {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}.
