Dan Smith raised to 225,000 on the button, JC Alvarado made it 700,000 to go from the big blind, a call was made, and the flop fell 
. Both players checked, and then Alvarado fired out 750,000 on the 
turn. Smith made the call, creating a pot worth approximately 3 million, and the 
peeled off on the river.
Alvarado came out firing to the tune of 1.4 million, and Smith hit the tank for a long time. When he emerged, he slid the vast majority of his stack in the pot. Alvarado didn't act quickly, instead going into the tank himself. After a few moments of deliberation, Alvarado folded and Smith was pushed the pot, which gave him a 2-1 chip lead.
